Tonight is the 2025 edition of AEW’s Double Or Nothing, and for the first time in its history, the event is coming from the Diamond Arina in the desert in Phoenix, Arizona, rather than Las Vegas. The event will feature a total of nine main cards, including three title matches, the final of the 2025 Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament, and the much-anticipated chaos in the arena match.
The “Owen” winners will face their respective champions at AEW All in Texas in July. Will Osprey and “Hangman” Adam Page fight for a chance to abdicate AEW world champion John Moxley. TBS champion Mercedes Mohn faces Jamie Hater and has now won a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championships, currently being held by “timeless” Toni Storm. While Moxley competes in an arena match in an arrogant manner, Storm defends her title against Mira Shirakawa.
What many fans thought would be the main event until Osprey Eye’s unveiled on Wednesday, and Anana at the arena will pit Kenny Omega and Babyface teams from Swerve Strickland and International Champion on the frontlines playing against the teams led by Moxley and his Deathrider. The match is also the first of its kind, featuring two female stars.
The Babyface team includes Strickland, Omega, AEW World Trios Champions Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata and Willow Nightingale. Deathrider’s teams include Wheeler Utah, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.
Championship matches and other matches
Another championship match on the card is AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Kazuchika defending his 12th gold. Heart Syndicate’s World Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley defend ROH World Tag Champions Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, known as the sons of Texas. MJF, the latest member of MJF, who has just signed a deal to join the faction in “Dynamite,” despite not being announced for himself, could be MVP or behind the scenes ringside.
Elsewhere on the card, Ricochet will face Mark Briscoe in a stretcher match. The FTR will face off against Daniel Garcia and Nigel McGuinness, against the Charis family, including Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher.
