AEW CEO Tony Khan spoke about the passing of ECW Legend Sabu, recalling the special match of the late star that he can watch live.
Khan, avid ECW fans, spoke about Sabu in passionate terms. President AEW recently spoke to the “Toronto Sun” about the greatness of Sub and how the world of wrestling will miss him truly.
“I agreed that he changed wrestling. I was a big fan of Sub since I was 10. I followed his career. I first saw him in his magazine. I was very sorry for his family and very sorry for all his close friends. I worked with him. But I was a big fan of Sub,” Khan said.
Khan recalls seeing some ECW shows watching Sabu’s specific matches at the ECW Arena and seeing Sabu’s matches at the ECW Arena.
“[I] I went to the ECW Arena and saw him wrestling with the RVD in a stretcher match at the ECW Arena. I also saw him against Chris Jericho in the second time since his last match at ECW over the same weekend. Certainly, seeing him was special and something that I was particularly excited about at the time, I was 13 years old. ”
Khan remembered to be in the ECW Arena after seeing RVD and Sabu Wrestle. The president of AEW said Sub was a special wrestler and that his presence in the world of professional wrestling would be overlooked.
