Tonight’s WWE Saturday Night Main Event airs on May 24, 2025 and promises an action-packed nightlife from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. On the show, “The Best in the World” commercial Punk and Sami Zayn watch Seth “Freakkin” Rollins and “Unpredictable Badas” Bron Breakker in tag team matches. Plus, the indisputable WWE champion John Cena faces R-Truth in matches other than the title.

WWE Saturday Night Main Event Results (5/24/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show welcomes Joe Tescitore, followed by shots of the Tampa coastline, with fans standing outside the host venue. Next up is the arrival and behind the scenes shots of Drew McIntyre, Damien Priest, Chelsea Green, Piper Niven, Alba Feel, WWE Women’s U.S. champions Zelina Vega, R. Truth, Logan Paul and world heavyweight champion Jay Uso.
Then you get a cold open video package.
Joe Tescitore will be seen on stage with Jesse Ventura, who discussed the action coming for tonight’s show, including McIntyre vs. Priest Steel Cage Match and Jay Uso and Logan Paul. Both men then send things to the commentary team of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee.
Seth Rollins, Bron Blakeker and WWE Hall of Famer Paul Hayman go to the ring for their first match of the night, followed by Sami Zain and CM Punk.
Tag Team Match: “The World’s Best” Commercial Punk and Samizaine vs. Seth “Freakkin” Rollins and “Unpredictable Bad” Bron Breakker
The match begins with all four men fighting each other. Punk and Zayn ring a clothesline breaker out of the ring, and Zayn delivers Rollins’ right hand. Breakker hits Zayn’s clothesline from the barricade and begins to crash into the announcement desk. Breakker then delivers some shoulders to the middle of Zayn on the corner, and Rollins is hitting a cheap shot with Zayn from the apron. Breakker causes Zayn to crash into the mat with Brainbuster and tag Rollins.
Punk then tages him on his side, nailing Rollins with the elbows on his back and crashing into the mat with a twisted neckbreaker. Punk then calls for GTS, but Rollins avoids it, and Punk slams the chord red with Rollins. Punk then hits the knee that jumps to Rollins and nails the breaker with the clothesline as he causes Rollins to hit the mat. Rollins then hits pedigree with punk to seek pins, but Zayn breaks autumn. Zayn then hits a shallow moonzoo from the top rope and lands on the outside breaker.
Rollins and Punk exchange their right hands with each other. Rollins then hits a mid-section kick from Punk and sets up for a curb stomp, but Punk avoids it and nails Rollins. Zayn and Breakker tag and Zayn hits the tornado DDT with Breakker. Zayn then tracks it down with an explosiver at the corner of Breakker and sets up for the Helluva Kick, but Heyman grabs Zayn’s ankle from the outside of the ring.
The referee catches Heyman and Bronson Reid appears out of nowhere. The lead sends a punk with a splash through the barricade. Breakker then takes advantage of the surprised Zayn and follows it with a spear to Zayn for victory.
Tag Team Match winners, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, and the “Unpredictable Badas” Bronbreaker!
After the match, Rollins hugs Lead in the ring. Reed waves Blakeker’s hand, and the three men are tall along with Heyman. Punk grabs Heyman by the ankle, but Reid runs him with a sendon. Reed tracks it in a puncture tsunami.
Then head backwards. There, Kathy Kelly interviews Chelsea Green and the Secret Hervice. Green says she rose from the ashes. Green says he has votes. Green says she will enter her second term as the US women’s champion when she defeats Jellina Vega. Green says, “Thank you Hellvis!”
Chelsea Green then goes to the ring for the next match of the night with the secret Hervice on her side, followed by American female champion Zelina Vega.
WWE Women’s US Championship Match: Herb Vega (C) vs Chelsea Green
The match begins with a green nailed Vega. Green gives Vega the right hand and first sends her to the top turnbuckle’s face. Vega then taps the elbow on the back with the green and dials for 619, but green keeps out of the way.
Green power bombs Vega from the apron onto the floor and then puts it back into the ring for a pin. Vega then kicks out, but Green first causes Vega to crash into Matt’s face and nail her with her boots to the face. Green delivers some stomps to Vega on the corner and watches as he attacks her with a Vader bomb. Vega then moves out of the way, nailing the greens with some clotheslines and chasing them with a suppression on his back.
Green then crashes Vega into the mat and sets up for the unprocessed, but Vega dials for the 619 and climbs onto the top rope. Albafir then forgets that Vega will climb the ropes as Piper Niven is distracted by the referee, but Vega still slams cord red on the green from the middle rope for victory.
Winner and still WWE Women’s US champion Jellina Vega!
Commentary then hypes the John Cena vs. R-Truth match.
WWE Hall of Fame Jimmy Hart sits at ringside. Also seen at ringside is WWE Hall of Fame Bushwacker Luke, who tries to lick Hart, but Hart escapes.
Then you’ll get ads for WWE World Collide.
Baikinko’s son It will then appear at ringside.
Ads will then come to Atlanta for WWE NXT Great American Bash, WWE Saturday Night Main Event (July 12th) and WWE Evolution (July 13th).
John Cena then heads into the ring for the next night’s match, followed by R-Truth.
Non-title match: Uncontroversial WWE Champion John Cena vs. R-Truth
The match begins with John Cena running R-Truth in the clothesline. Cena then crashes the truth first into the top turnbuckle’s face, then sends him to the opposite corner, nailing him with a shoulder tackle. Cena then hits the blue lightning bomb to Truth and chases it with five knuckle shuffles, but the truth runs through Cena with his own two shoulder tackles and a blue lightning bomb. The truth is that he hits five knuckle shuffles and Cena’s attitude adjustments and gets a pin, but Cena kicks out.
The truth is that Cena’s STF tightens the company, but Cena craps around the bottom rope and breaks the hold. Cena then crashes the truth into the ring post, grabs the indisputable WWE Championship belt and thinks of hitting the truth with it, but ultimately decides against it. When the judge disposes of the indisputable WWE Championship belt, China deals a low blow to the truth, followed by a winning attitude adjustment.

After the match, Cena nails the truth with the indisputable WWE Championship belt and heads backwards.
Next, you get the video package that sees the match in the steel cage. This comes next, with the steel cage dropping above the ring.
After that, we head backwards. There, Jay Uso, the “main event” of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, walks when he encounters the indisputable WWE champion John Cena. China says it’s been a long time. Lies say he has never seen Cena because he eliminated him to win the Royal Rumble. Cena says she’s happy that the lie remembers it. China says she looks forward to seeing USO next time. Cena then says that USO has something special about losing the title to Logan Paul, who comes from one of the most honorable families in wrestling history. Cena says that if his watch is gone and the only remaining title is around the YouTuber’s waist, it wouldn’t be something. Cena says it would ruin wrestling. Cena says there is a lot of pressure in tonight’s match. Cena then ironically wants USO’s luck, and says he’s watching carefully.
WWE legendary Leilani Kai is on display at ringside. Tatanka is also on display on the ringside.
Jesse “Body” Ventura joins Michael Cole and Pat McAfee in the comments.
Damien’s priest then heads into the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Drew McIntyre.
Steel cage match: Damien’s Priest vs. “Scottish Psychopath” portrayed McIntyre
The match begins with Drew McIntyre going just after Damien Priest. McIntyre then sends a chair into the cage and chases after the priest inside the cage, but McIntyre causes the priest to crash into the side of the cage and hits him on the flatliner. McIntyre then causes the priest to collide with two adjacent sides of the cage, throwing his face first.
McIntyre and the priest wobble on the top rope. The priest then appears to climb out of the cage, but McIntyre hits him with a superplex and pulls him back into the ring. McIntyre then follows it with a claymore kick and asks for the pin, but the priest kicks out.
The priest then delivers several kicks to McIntyre’s chest, then nails him with his forearm rolled into the corner and his jumped elbow. McIntyre then appears to hit a second Claymore kick, but the priest avoids it and rolls McIntyre. McIntyre then kicks out and crashes the priest into the mat south of heaven, seeking pins. The priest then kicks out, but McIntyre attacks the priest three times with a chair, placing the priest in the corner in front of the chair. McIntyre then appears to hit a Claymore kick on the priest, but the priest moves out of the way, causing McIntyre to hit a chair.
The priest then hits the south of heaven at McIntyre, rests his head on a chair, and uses a second chair to hit the chair at McIntyre. The priest then leaves the cage and wins the match.
The winner of the steel cage match, the Dami Amp Leist!
After the match, medical personnel check McIntyre and pull out a stretcher for him. McIntyre then comes and refuses help before he tries to leave under his own power.
Michael Cole then hypes the upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match.
Mike Rotunda and Barry Wyndham are shown standing in the crowd.
Joe Tessitore and Jesse Ventura will be checking in from the podium. Ventura says Bronson Reid’s return was impressed with him. Tessitore will then set up a video package for the main event.
Jay Uso then heads to the ring for the night’s main event, followed by Logan Paul.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: “Main Event” Jey Uso (c) vs. “The Maverick” Logan Paul
The match begins with both men locking up and Lies cinching with Paul’s side headlock. Paul nails the lie, but the lie shoulder tackles the pole. Lie then hits the rope, and the pole drops down and jumps over USO. Later, Lio uppercuts Paul and sends him to the corner, but Paul is wrapped around it. Paul then knocks back USO and gets a huge hit from the ropes before making a kip-up. The USO then rolls out of the ring and recovers. Paul then takes out the lie along with Plancha.
Jay then makes a hip attack on Paul with his horns, seeking pins. Paul is then kicked out, but Jay climbs to the top. Paul lifts his knees and winds Jay up, but Jay kicks him out. Jay then hits Paul with a Samoa drop and appears to pop out of the ring, but Paul catches Jay with his right hand. Jay nails the pole with a super kick when he returns to the ring, then follows it with a lie splash from the top rope, asking for a pin.
John Cena then pulls the referee out of the ring and continues to beat Jay before completing the count. Cody Rhodes’ music is a hit and he runs away. He then pulls out Cena and opens the door for Jay to hit a lie splash on Paul for victory.
Winner and still WWE World Heavyweight Champion, “Main Event” Jey Uso!
After the match, Rhodes grabs the microphone and as the show approaches the end, he and Jay challenge Cena and Paul to a tag team match at Bank’s WWE Money.
