WWE holds talent conferences to educate rosters on advanced medical therapies like PRP and stem cells
Over the past week, WWE held a talent conference focused on providing information on advanced medical procedures designed to help you recover from injuries, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy. Pwinsider first reported on the meeting, but noted that Fightful Select later was involved with WWE medical staff and aimed to educate the roster on these developing treatments.
During the discussion, WWE reportedly pointed out that “they even collaborated with stem cell companies on what many talents are doing in Cancun,” acknowledging the popularity and perceived profit increase of these treatments within professional wrestling. The success story of Rey Mysterio, who famously expanded his career through the use of stem cell therapy, was highlighted as a notable example.
However, WWE officials said the company “said it does not support treatments, but would like to educate and emphasize understanding, healthcare consensus, etc. The main goal was to distinguish the scientifically proven aspects of these treatments from those that still lack conclusive data.
Reports show that the talent involved in “encouraging the meeting” served as a valuable session to understand potential treatment options and make informed decisions about health and recovery.
