Hangman Page Outuels will become Osprea and won’t win AEW double or anything in the Men’s Owen Heart Cup

“Hangman” Adam Page defeated Will Osprey after nearly 37 minutes of action to win the men’s Owen Heart Cup in the main event of AEW’s Double or Nothing.

Page eliminated Josh Alexander and Kyle Fletcher on their way to the finals, and Osprey defeated Kevin Knight and Konosuke Takeshita on the other side of the bracket to establish Sunday’s main event. The winner gets the opportunity on July 12th in Texas with AEW World Champion John Moxley.

The match began with many exchange actions, each swapping submissions and strikes before attempting to do so at the finisher. Ospreay got his first big close range fall, stretching to the outside of the ring before hitting the Blue Thunder bomb. However, the page will then hit a two-count death. Ospreay hit a hidden blade out of nowhere, and the pages were wound up from the ring before they were covered. Ospreay then hit a style collision from the apron to the floor, then put him back in the ring for the OS cutter, continuing with another hidden blade. The action went outside once more as Ospreaye smashed the page’s face off the announcer’s desk. He tried to pass through the pages, but was overwhelmed by the dead eyes. The desk broke as the page stood in its place and he bumped into movement while he collapsed.

Ospreay and Page then stared at each other for a finisher’s shootout and won on the page when they delivered Buckshot Lariat. The page set up for the second backshot was caught with a hidden blade and continued with Stormbreaker for yet another close range. Ospreay wanted to follow up with one winged angel, borrowing it from the Kenny Omega’s arsenal when it hit the V-Trigger. Ospreay looked for the final Stormbreaker, but was countered by Page to hit a big boot, followed by a final backshot for a winning pinfall.
