Muhammad Hassan Weighs Major Warning as He Eyes WWE Legend Contract

Mark Kopani remains open to the idea of returning to WWE but insists on strict conditions regarding the revival of his controversial character, Muhammad Hassan. In an interview with 10 Counting Media with Steve Fall, he addressed rumors about his potential future in wrestling.

Kopani stated, "I’m open to it depending on what they have in mind. However, I’m not interested in just bringing back the Muhammad Hassan character for its marketability, which is basically the only option they have."

The Muhammad Hassan character was definitively ended in 2005 when the Undertaker "killed" him on TV following significant real-life backlash. Kopani feels both he and WWE understand that the character should remain in the past. His current role as the head of human resources for the city’s school district further complicates any potential comeback in the wrestling world.

He added, “Remember, I’m the HR Director for the city’s school district, so it would be inappropriate and insensitive to revive that character. Mentally, the character died in 2005, and it’s now 2025.”

Though Kopani misses the energy of the crowd and the sport itself, any return to WWE would require a clear separation from the Muhammad Hassan persona. His openness to coming back as Mark Kopani underlines that a return is possible but only under very specific conditions that honor cultural sensitivity and his current professional responsibilities.

Fan Take: This news is significant for WWE fans because it shows a willingness for one controversial figure to responsibly navigate his past while potentially rejoining the wrestling world. If handled carefully, Kopani’s return could bring fresh storytelling to WWE while respecting sensitivities, offering a renewed and mature chapter for the sport.
