Next week on NXT (June 3, 2025), the TNA World Championship will be contested, as announced by Santino Marella. Trick Williams, who recently captured the title at WWE Battlegrounds, has faced criticism not only from the crowd present but also from fans at the Budmouth TNA event. These fans declared that none of the former champions compare to him or TNA’s legacy.
Trick Williams took to Twitter to express his confidence, stating, “It’s a trickna now,” and proclaimed he plans to shake things up, although he admitted some reservations. He also boldly claimed that past champions don’t measure up to his level, asserting his dominance in the league.
Mike Santana, who promised to challenge for the title at Battlegrounds, interrupted these claims and issued a direct challenge to Trick. Santino Marella then appeared via Titantron to announce that an official title match between Trick Williams and Mike Santana is set for next week, having already coordinated with AVA.
In addition to this high-stakes encounter, a round match between Mylesborne and Charlie Dempsey will take place, stemming from an agreement backstage. The stipulation of this match is that if Borne wins, he won’t be obligated to leave the catch crew he is a part of.
Other matches will also be announced in the upcoming episode, so stay tuned for more updates.
Match Highlights for Next Week:
– Round Match: Charlie Dempsey vs. Miles Borne – If Borne wins, he stays with the catch crew.
– TNA World Championship Match: Trick Williams (c) vs. Mike Santana
Fan Take: This upcoming title match is a pivotal moment for TNA Wrestling fans as it could mark a new era with Trick Williams asserting his dominance or a thrilling comeback from Mike Santana.
