An update has surfaced regarding plans to promote three prominent NXT stars to WWE’s main roster shows, RAW and SmackDown. Following her loss of the NXT Women’s Championship to Jayne on Tuesday, Stephanie Vaquer, along with her recent rival Jordynne Grace, have been called up to the main roster, with Vaquer reportedly headed to Raw.
During the latest Wrestling Observer Live episode, Brian Alvarez shared new details about the futures of Vaquer and Grace in NXT, additionally naming Ricky Saints as a potential third main roster call-up. Alvarez explained that all three wrestlers received contract offers that are significantly better than typical NXT deals, suggesting a major step forward in their WWE careers.
Alvarez also mentioned that although a draft event scheduled over four shows in Tampa (near Orlando) last weekend didn’t take place, several wrestlers, including these three, appear to be prepared for a move to the main roster. On the same night Vaquer lost her title, Ricky Saints also lost the NXT North American Championship to Ethan Page. Grace’s last NXT TV match occurred on WWE Battleground on May 25th.
More details on the status and future plans for these three NXT stars will be shared as they emerge.
