Vince McMahon Unveils His Next Venture Following WWE Departure

More than a year after stepping down from WWE, Vince McMahon’s new business venture has come to light. McMahon resigned as executive chairman of TKO in January 2024, following a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against WWE and John Laurinaitis, citing sexual abuse and human trafficking allegations. Recently, Laurinaitis was removed as a defendant in this lawsuit.

In late 2024, it was announced that McMahon plans to establish a new entertainment company, anticipated to involve several former WWE stars. Details of this new project, revealed by Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston, show it is called 14th & I, an investment firm focusing on sports, media, and entertainment sectors.

McMahon officially created this limited liability investment and management company in Connecticut on September 20, 2024. Additionally, two trademarks for “14th & I” were registered on August 23, 2024, covering private equity investments and entertainment production. Brad Blum, a former WWE executive, is listed as the president of 14th & I on LinkedIn, and David Spingarn serves as its Chief Investment Officer.

The name “14th & I” harks back to 14th Avenue in Washington, DC, notable as the headquarters for Capitol Wrestling Corporation, WWE’s predecessor. Wrestlenomics notes that McMahon’s new company is venturing into wrestling-related business activities.

Separately, John Laurinaitis has been dropped from the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant, with further updates available online.

Fan Take: This development is significant for WWE fans as Vince McMahon’s return to the entertainment and wrestling scene could signal fresh competition or new opportunities within the industry. McMahon’s proven track record of innovation and influence means his new venture might reshape wrestling’s future landscape.
