Tonight’s WWE Smackdown, airing on May 30, 2025, promises an action-packed nightlife from Thompson Bowling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee. WWE SmackDown Results (5/30/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens with repeated video packages last Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Special.
Joe Tescitore then welcomes us to the show. “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and “EST of WWE” Bianca Bel Air are shown walking behind the scenes. The camera then passes Bella from behind, through the entrance path into the ring.
Bella then grabbed the microphone and the crowd began chanting “est!” as she stood in the middle of the ring. Bel Air said he had to sing “Rocky Top” and called for the music to become a hit. The music then became a hit and the crowd sang along. Bel Air then cried out in the crowd at her mom and dad, as well as the Knoxville people who appeared for her. Bella then calls this her safe space and says she had to return to Knoxville to heal. Later, Bella says that she was WWE’s EST and the crowd began another chant. Bella then screams “Welcome to Friday Night Smackdown,” Naomi’s music was a hit. Naomi then proceeds towards the ring. Naomi says she’s happy that Bel Air is back in SmackDown, and Beru tells Naomi it’s not this time. The crowd booes Naomi. Naomi says she thinks about what happened between them every day. After that, Bel Air asks Naomi what he wants from Bel Air and “You suck!” The chant begins. Naomi looks emotional and asks for Bella’s forgiveness.
Naomi says she knows their friendship has been off the rail lately, but she still wants to fix it. Naomi then says that months have passed and she tries to tell Bel Air that the past should remain in the past. Naomi then reveals that she will go to Bel Air’s parents’ house to talk to Bel Air, but since no one is there, she enters the house. Naomi says she looked up the photo album on the coffee table. In these photos, Bel Air looked happy and reminded her of her time as a tag team partner.
Bella, stunned, tells Naomi that they are best friends, but she betrays her trust when she takes Jade Cargill out, throws her into the windshield of the car, and lies to her for several months. Bel Air then warns Naomi that she will come again for her family, but Naomi tells Bel Air that it’s a good thing that both she and her mother are in wheelchairs. Cargill’s music hits and she moves towards the ring. Cargill hands Naomi his right hand, nailing her with her boots and stares at Bel Air. Naomi tries to attack Cargill, but Cargill sends her out of the ring and continues staring at Bel Air. Nia Jax’s music hits and she moves towards the ring for the first match of the night.
Bank Women’s Money Triple Threat Qualifying Match: Jade Cargill vs Naomi vs “Attractive Power” Niajax
The match begins with Naomi sliding out of the ring. Jade Cargill and Nia Jax lock up, but Jacks first crashes Cargill into one of the corner faces, and nails her in the clothesline as Naomi’s cheers from the outside of the ring. Naomi then nails Cargill with an open palm strike from the outside, and Jacks stuffs his boots into Cargill’s face.
Jacks then sends Cargill to the corner, but Cargill defeats Jack and hits her with a thrust kick. Naomi then first causes Jacks to hit the shoulder of the ring post, handing her right hand to Cargill in the center of the ring, slamming her with her right hand, hitting a dropkick on the corner, and nailing her with her right hand. Naomi then hits a leg drop split from the center rope to the corner Cargill, delivering her some stomps, and Jacks hits a hip attack on Cargill.
Naomi then bounces Jacks’ head off the apron, the middle rope, off the mat, but Cargill hits Naomi in a vacation slam and nails her with the elbow on her back. She chases it in a slum on the swinging sidewalk and asks for a pin, but Jacks breaks autumn. Jax then nails Naomi with a headbutt and crashes Cargill into the mat with a Samoan drop before dropping his legs on both Naomi and Cargill. She then sends Cargill out of the ring, climbs onto the rope in the middle, drops her foot on Naomi and goes to Pin. Naomi then kicks out. Jax then sends Naomi onto the ropes, but Naomi counters Jax’s cross bone bomb and asks for a pin. Jacks then kicks out, but Naomi crashes Cargill out of the apron. She then kicks her head to nail Jacks, but Jacks slams Naomi onto the mat and returns him out of the ring.
Cargill rolls Jacks, but Jacks kicks out and Cargill sends her collision out of the ring from the center rope. Jacks then crashes Cargill’s head into the ring post with a hip attack and sends a double team along with Naomi. Cargill then delivers some forearms to Jax, then hits her and Naomi with some splashes in the opposite corner. Jacks then appears to surprise Cargill with a splash, but Cargill gets out of the way and Jacks accidentally hits Naomi. Naomi then smacks Meteora with Cargill and hits Moons split-legged by Jacks from the corner, but Cargill gets tired of Naomi and goes to Pin, whereas Jacks breaks Autumn.
Jax then hits a double crossbody with both Cargill and Naomi. She then pins both, but both women kick it out. Jax then put Naomi over his shoulder and hit a Samoa drop. She then goes to Pin, but Cargill breaks the fall with a splash. She then pins Jax, but Jax kicks out. Jax stacks Naomi and Cargill on top of each other before setting up for the AN-Nia-Lator. Naomi then keeps out of the way in the final second and rolls up Jax for victory.

After the match, Naomi celebrates with a lamp.
Then head to the backstage area. There, Solosikoa, Jacob Fatu and J.C. Mateo encounter R-Truth. Sikor teases the truth to talk to ghosts. The truth looks at J.C. Mateo and says he has never seen him before. The truth asks Sicoa whether Mateo is Solo’s son. The truth is that he later says he will ask Nick Ardis for a match with Mateo. The truth is, Fatu tells Sicoa and Mateo to entertain them as they handle other businesses, so they leave.
Nick Aldis later met Chelsea Green behind the scenes, and Greene wears a mask for what happened to her nose last week. Green says it was a deliberate action from Jellina Vega. Green says that Aldis should strip Vega from the women’s US championship. Aldis then deny the request. Green then endorses Albafir vs. Vega later in the show, and Aldis makes it official.
We then see Byron Saxton interview Tiffany Stratton behind the scenes. Saxton asks Tiffany how he handles the pressure of being a champion. Tiffany says she’s ready because she was a girl everyone has always been hooked on. Tiffany says anyone paying her will make a big mistake. Naomi then shows up and tells Tiffany that she will win the ladder match anytime, anywhere and at any time and earn cash. Tiffany rolls her eyes as Naomi leaves. Alexa Bliss then shows up to tell Tiffany that she shouldn’t worry about Naomi, and instead Tiffany needs to worry about her. Bliss then leaves the segment away.

R-Truth heads into the ring for the next night’s match, followed by JC Mateo.
Single Match: R-Truth vs. JC Mateo
The match starts with an R-Truth charging at JC Mateo, but Mateo sends the truth into the corner for a series of shoulder tackles before sending it to the opposite turnbuckle with a hammer throw. Mateo then allows the truth to reach his feet. The truth is that before slap him with a shoulder tackle, Mateo dodges accusation from Mateo, but Mateo responds with a standing moonoo with a suppression.
Mateo then sets up for a running senton, but the truth moves out of the way and hits Mateo with five knuckle shuffles. He then appears to follow up on it with an attitude adjustment, but Mateo counters to the splash and follows it on a tour of the island for victory.

After the match, Mateo will hand out some headbutts to the truth and hold him in place for Sicoa to hit him with Samoan spikes. Jimmy Uso’s music hits and he takes his chair and heads towards the ring. Mateo and Sicor are both back then, but Mateo blinds Jimmy from behind. Sicor then stops Mateo from continuing to beat Jimmy, and both men slip out of the ring.
Next, we see behind the scenes profits walking behind the scenes, as we hear from the next WWE Tag Team Champion.
The WWE Tag Team defends The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and moves towards the ring. Ford speaks first, saying that SmackDown Tag Division is the largest tag division of any company’s brand, with profits leading claims. Dawkins then chimes and lists the teams that will come after them. Dawkins then brings up Wyatt and says Ford is willing to defend the tag title against anyone. Fraxiom’s music hits and they move towards the ring.
Nathan Fraser speaks first, talking about not getting a fair shot last week. Ford then congratulates Fraxiom and notes how he slammed Fraxiom Beat until Wyatt Sids was involved last week. Axiom says they’ll never know for sure. Fraser then intervene and says he should run through things. The music from the Motor City Machine Gun hits and heads towards the ring. Alex Shelley points out that profits won’t beat MCMG, as if they never beat Fraxiom. #DIY music hits and they move towards the ring.
Candice Lerae calls out McMG geeks. Chris Sabin then tells Lerae to shut up, and Gargano reacts with anger and says that he even brought Lerae to the odds as there is a plot going on against #DIY. Gargano raises Wyatt Sids and Champa tells Gargano he won’t talk about them. Ciampa says they killed the tag division they built, and Ciampa is looking for a moment of silence in the Tag Division. The lights then come out and Wyatt Sids appears. They then take out everyone who is currently in the ring. Howdy then slaps Fraser with sister Abigail, finishing things up, and Wyatt Chic posing in the ring as the music plays.
Ross Garza then heads into the ring for the next match of the night, looking at the WWE NXT North American champion Ethan Page at the comment desk. Ray Phoenix then heads towards the ring, followed by Evon Evans.
Tag Team Match: Los Garza (Angel and Berto) vs. “The Young OG” Je’von Evans and Rey Fenix
The match begins with both Ray Phoenix and Angel and both men swapping their right hands. Phoenix then attacks Hari Canrana with the Angel, but Evans and Belt tag them. Evans rolls up the belt, but the belt kicks out and nails Evans with his right hand. Ray then returns the tag and nails Angels with Evans, with both men nailing the belts with superkicks. Evans then tag him, but the belt nails him with his forearm and Angel tags. Angel nails Evans with a kick. The belt hugs him outside the ring, placing Evans on his spine and tagging him with the belt. The belt flies off the apron over the top rope to cause Evans to hit the mat, but Evans nails the belt with a superkick and Phoenix tag.
Phoenix then nails Angel with a springboard crossbody, knocks down the interfering belt, uses the belt as a launch pad to slap the angel Hurricane Lana, chasing it with a moonzoo. He then goes to Pin, but the belt breaks autumn. Angel then nails Phoenix with an uppercut, but Evans tagged Angel and nails it. The belt then defeats Evans with a springboard kick.
Evans then hits the Angel in his right hand, but Angel uses the top rope to hit Evans’ sit-out power bomb. He then goes to Pin, but Evans kicks him out. Phoenix then walks the rope and kicks the belt, and Evans flies off the top rope and lands Phoenix and Ross Garza on the outside with a Swanton bomb. Evans and Phoenix then stare at the announcement desk and send Ross Garza back into the ring. Page then attacks Phoenix and Evans from behind, and the referee is distracted by Ross Garza, but Evans nails Page with a superkick.
He then uses the belt to try and lift Evans up. Evans then kicks out, hits a springboard kick on the belt before climbing onto the top rope. Santos Escobar deflects the judge as Page pushes Evans off the top rope. Angel then tagged him, and Ross Garza hits MTY with Evans for victory.

After the match, a message from Uncle Howdy will appear on the screen. He says it won’t stop until Wyatt Sids gets what they want.
WWE Women’s US champion Zelina Vega will be in the ring for the next night’s match, followed by Albafir, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.
Non-title match: WWE Women’s US Champion Jellina Vega vs. Albafir of Secret Hellvis
The match begins with Fyre moving on immediately after Vega. She then sends crashes to multiple top turnbuckles, but Vega strikes several times with the fire. She then crashes into the mat in Hurricane Lana, but Feel nails Vega with the elbow on her back.
Vega then passes the right hand with the right hand of the horn, but Feel first causes Vega to hit the horn’s spine. Vega then responds to the outer fire with a Hurricane Lana, but Fear spins her with a ring apron and nails her with a headbutt. Vega then sends the fire first to the face of the rope in the middle, but Green hops onto the apron. Vega then runs the ropes, but Niven travels her from outside.
Fire then first causes Vega to hit the matte face and seek out the pin. Vega then kicks out, but Fire polishes her with a submission hold. Vega then fights her path, but Fire nails Vega with a thrust kick. Vega then first causes Fire to crash into the top turnbuckle’s face, but Vega supplies her right hand with her right hand and nails her with some sling blades. Vega then hits Meteora with a fire in the corner, then hits the second Meteora from the center rope, going to Pin, but Fire kicks out.
Vega then crashes the Fire into the mat with the StandG Billionaire and sets it up from the rope towards the Moonzoo. Fire then moves out of the way, hitting Swanton’s bomb and going to her own pin, but Vega kicks out. Green jumps up into the apron, but Vega almost causes the fire to hit the green. Feel then stops her momentum, but Vega hits her with Code Red for victory.

Later, seeing Miz and Carmelo Hayes talking in the locker room, Miz reminds Hayes that he gave up the opportunity to take part in Hayes’ match. Miz says if Hayes wins, they will make sure they are Mr Money for the bank. Hayes then stops Miz and Miz asks Hayes who thinks he’s taken him to his position, and Hayes tells him it was him who got there. Then Hayes says he’s out there and doing better than anyone else. Hayes then tells Miz that she needs to make Hayes him. Hayes then tries to set up a catchphrase, but Miz doesn’t complete it.
Then get a vignette on Julia.
She then meets Julia as WWE women’s champion Zelina Vega walks the backstage area. Julia tells Vega she’s seeing the champion, but she sees Vega’s title more than ever before and Vega just leaves.
The music of Damien’s priest is hit and he moves towards the ring. The priest starts off with what he says as he defeated Drew McIntyre in the main event on Saturday night in a steel cage match where he felt good. The priest says that unlike the norm, he and McIntyre have not been normal for more than a year. The priest says that he and McIntyre went to war and let him in the past when he handed him a scam and left the door. The priest says he knows what McIntyre is watching, and although he still can’t stand him, McIntyre stepped into the cage was an older version of himself, not hiding behind the phone he was grateful for.
The priest says that the championship, which begins with Jacob Fatu and the American Championship, is next for him. The priest says he respects Fatu and knows what he had to live, and he is proud of Fatu. The priest says Fatu does not respect the crew that hangs. The priest says that he is and will forever become El Campeon. Fatu’s music hits and he stares at the priest on the entrance lamp before heading into the ring. Andrade and Carmelo Hayes both continue.
Bank Men’s Money Triple Threat Qualifying Match: WWE United States Champion “Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Andredo
The match begins with Hayes giving FATU their right and left hands. Fatu then nails Hayes with the clothesline, but Andrade nails Fatu with a crossbody from his forearm and the rope in the center. Hayes then sends Andrade out of the ring and passes his left and right hands to Fatu’s spine. Fat then nails Hayes with his right hand to jump off the rope and try to run the rope, but Miz grabs Fattu by the ankle. Hayes then turns to Blindside Fatu from behind, but Fatu sees him coming. Hayes then crashes out of the ring and sends Fatu, but Andrade nails Hayes.
Fatu then stares at Miz outwards, and Andredo tries to nail him. Fatu then comes and nails him, slams Miz with a super kick and chases it with a hip attack on him near the timekeeper’s area. Fatu then sends Andrade first to one of the barricade spines, first to send Haze, which crashes into the spine of the Announcement Desk, then clears it. Hayes then blinds Fatu from behind, then sends Andrade to one of the inner corners of the ring, appearing to hit him with a suppression. Andredo first causes Hayes to crash into the top rope mid section, but Fatu nails Andrade with the elbow in his back and slams him with a headbutt.
Fatu then delivers a chop to Andrade and follows it with an open palm strike, but Andrede delivers some chops to Fatu. Fatu then nails Andrade with an open palm strike, but Andrade hits Meteora with Fatu. Hayes then crashes Andrade first onto the matte face, then delivering some stomps to Fatu in the corner. Andredo nails Fatu with a super kick and hits a Spanish fly with a haze off the rope. Fatu then attacks the running Senton with both Andrede and Hayes, and Andrede hits the Moonsault of Fat’s signature.
Hayes then hits the codebreaker of destiny, and Andrade hits him with Hurricane Rana, causing him to crash out of the ring. Andrede and Hayes deliver their right hands to each other, but Fattu nails Hayes with a kick, accusing him, and puts Andrede outwards. Hayes and Andrade have since crashed a barricade near the timekeeper area, with Side Step Fatu and Fatu.
Hayes then grabs the table from under the ring, but does not set up. Andredo then appears to grab the chair and use it, but Hayes grabs the chair by hitting a dropkick on his lap before he can. Andredo then climbs the ropes, but Hayes trips him and causes him to crash into the mat. Andrede then rolls Hayes, but Hayes kicks him out and nails Andrade with the clothesline. Hayes and Andrede then exchange chops with each other, but Andrade places Hayes on the top rope. Andredo then hits Hayes with Enz-Egili, dragging him to the top, but Fat pulls both men off the ropes and climbs to the top. He then hits a Swanton bomb with Hayes and goes to Pin, but Andredo breaks Autumn.
Fatu then hits a splash at Andrade on the corner, but then hits Hayes’ boots. Fatu then places Hayes on his shoulder, while Andrade hits both men with the elbows on his back. Solosicore and J.C. Mateo then appear to cheer on Fat, and Hayes jumps out of the rope and nails Andrade. He then goes to Ping, but Fatu breaks autumn. Fat is then Andraed over Hayes and on his shoulder, but Hayes escapes. Fatu then crashes Andrade into the mat, and it appears he’s hitting Moonsaw, but Andrade keeps him out of the way. Hayes then only hits the net with Fatu and seeks pins, but Andredo breaks autumn.
Hayes then hits the cordbreaker with Andrede, but Fatu crashes Hayes into the corner, attacking a hip attack. He then hits the elevated flat liner in Andredo, and Moonzoo follows it off the top, but Solosikore jumps on the apron and tells Fatu to hit another one. Jimmy Uso then appears out of nowhere, chasing both Cicor and Mateo, opening the door for Andrade to send a message to Hayes for the victory.

After the match, the king argues with Si Hoa.
After that, we will watch Byron Saxton’s interviewer night in the backstage area. Knight talks about how he punched his tickets to MITB. Knight says he would call the shot if it was a one-on-one match, but this will be his third MITB match, so he understands now. Knight says it’s a game for everyone. Knight stops talking about Aleister Black appearing. Black talks in mystery and leaves.
Cody Rhodes is then shown walking through the backstage area, causing a crowd to erupt.
Jacob Fatu is shown destroying the area behind the scenes and screaming in solo that he is tired of everything. Solo says he was just trying to help. Fatu says that he doesn’t need Sikoa’s help at the end and that Fatu will not be holding the storm.
Then you’ll get a summary of the Worlds Collide card.
You’ll then get a summary of the bank’s money, including a ladder match and a tag match featuring Cody Rhodes, who Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes face John Cena and Logan Paul.
“American nightmare,” Cody Rhodes moves towards the ring. Rhodes then tries to speak, but the crowd is cut off by chanting his name. The crowd eventually becomes quiet when Rhodes asks Knoxville what he wants to talk about. Rhodes then says he can talk about the record crowd at Knoxville or WrestleMania 41. Rhodes talks about the suspicious moment after talking to a friend who lost the title and asked if he was a good champion. Rhodes then talks about the reaction he got. It was all he experienced in the ring and behind the scenes, he was a good champion. Rhodes says it was a hopeful moment for him when he thought about the past year.
Rhodes then thinks about AJ Styles’ retirement and says his friends thought of attacking him on a tour bus while his family was sleeping on the other side. Rhodes says he thought about the last boss that demanded his soul. Rhodes says the most frightening part is that he was 100% serious. Rhodes says that the last person he thought of was John Cena and gets the duel chant “Let’s Go Cena” and “Cena Sub” from the crowd.
Rhodes says he thought about what Cena was doing exactly what he said he was trying to do. Rhodes says he gave him a choice and he hesitated. Rhodes says he’s not sure if Cena will ruin the wrestling, but he certainly had it for him. Rhodes says that if Cena hears, he needs to know that he will never hes again. Rhodes then says that they need to count down to leave business and look into Cody Rhodes’ eyes and know that expiration is coming. Rhodes apologises for everything going well, saying he wants to know what he can do. Rhodes says he’s back at Smackdown. We then receive the “Yett” chant from the crowd. Rhodes says they look hungry and maybe they should yeat. Rhodes says it will cause his partner to ride the fight with bank money and he is here. Rhodes says he’ll give up on it for your world heavyweight champion “main event” Jawsaw.
Jay Uso then goes through the crowd towards the ring as they move with him. Yet then continues until USO enters the ring. The uncontroversial music of WWE champion John Cena hits when he breaks Yaten and Cena moves towards the ring. Cena then walks around the ring to grab the microphone, then walks through the ropes and steps into the chorus of booing. Cena says he is upset too, and calls him the biggest aspirant of Rhodes and Lies Pro Wrestling. Cena says they both want to be him, which makes him sick. Cena says they both want his money and his fame, but they don’t get it. Cena says WWE has others exemplifying h fuss, loyalty and respect, and he has the fame and fortune to back it up. Cena then introduces her partner for money at the bank’s Logan Paul. Paul’s music hits and he moves towards the ring.
Cena then calls the crowd to be angry at Logan, saying that she doesn’t have to pay membership fees as she is paying mortgages such as Rhodes and Lies. Cena says fans didn’t come here to see Rhodes and Lies, they came here to see him and Logan Paul. Paul then runs down the crowd. Paul then hypes himself before running further through the Knoxville crowd. Paul says this is the moment fans see, and Cena stands side by side with Paul. Paul says that all fans will live a long, miserable, pathetic life, but at least they come to say they’ve seen it. The crowd then informs Logan Paul what he can do, and Paul laughs at it.
Paul says there is a problem as he should be standing by the indisputable WWE champion as a world champion. Paul says he should have left the main event on Saturday night at the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, but Jay Uso has been lucky. Paul reminded USO that Rhodes helped him win, and thought he had triple attacked two third-born con artist Nepo baby. Paul calls out himself and Senna’s homemade men, not to mention teaming up with the greatest team ever, saying that no one thinks he’s going to become a WWE superstar. Paul says he’s not only a superstar, but a superstar. Paul says Cena is the last real champion and he is the inevitable face of the company. The USO then says there’s no need to wait until bank money and Cena tries to leave the ring. After that, Paul suggests that Cena is staying and begins to brawl with USO as Cena screams Rhodes. USO then hits Superkick on Cena, and Rhodes follows it with a disaster kick. Lio then hits a super kick with the pole and follows it with the show approaching the end with the combination of Rhodes and Cody Cutter-3D.
