A WWE wrestler recently captured titles at independent events as well as in a competition organized by his father’s promotion. Carlito participated in WWC Summer Madness on Saturday, May 31st, where he contended for the WWC Puerto Rico Championship held by Ray Gonzalez. Carlito succeeded in pinning Gonzalez to claim the WWC Puerto Rico title. The WWC is owned by Carlos Colon, Carlito’s father. The promotion announced that an agreement with WWE allowed Carlito to compete at this event, facilitated by WWE’s live general manager Adam Pearce. Currently, Carlito is appearing on WWE Raw as a member of the Judgment Day faction alongside Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez. He also recently took part in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on WWE SmackDown on April 18th and has stayed active in physical wrestling segments. Meanwhile, two other WWE stars are scheduled to challenge for the AAA Championship at the upcoming Triplemania Regia event.
