Triple H reveals why time is good for regaining evolution 2

WWE Evolution 2 is officially set to happen, shedding light on why Triple H took so long to bring it back. During the “Show Post Show” press conference for the 2025 Money In The Bank event, WWE’s chief content officer Triple H was asked by reporter Emily May about the return of the all-women’s event. He revealed that this decision was not made on a whim; in fact, he has been wanting to organize Evolution 2 for years but had to wait for the right timing.

Triple H said, “I wanted to do Evolution 2 since the first one. Maybe even before the original event, I was trying to figure out how to make Evolution 2 happen. For various reasons, the timing wasn’t right until now.”

He also emphasized how much the WWE women’s division has grown since the inaugural event in 2018, making it a challenge to fit all the talent into the event. He stated, “The women’s division is just as amazing as it was back then, and it’s growing exponentially. The biggest challenge is creating the card and including as many women as possible because everyone wants to be part of it.”

Fan interest played a huge role in the decision, and Triple H highlighted that the excitement and anticipation among WWE’s female talent is very real. “The demand from fans has been incredible, with many asking, ‘Are we evolving again?’ It’s inspiring to see the excitement in the women’s eyes,” he said.

He pointed out that many of today’s WWE female stars grew up watching the original Evolution event and dreamed of having their own opportunities. “Many of these women grew up watching that first event and dreamed about Raw, SmackDown, and WrestleMania. For some, Evolution marked a different kind of dream, and now here we are. I can’t wait to build that platform and watch them excel – which they always do,” Triple H added.
