Williams captured the championship by defeating TNA’s Joe Hendry, ending the Scottish wrestler’s reign back in January, after also besting Nic Nemeth. The championship belt underwent a redesign in January 2024 when Impact Wrestling transitioned back to the TNA Wrestling brand, and this new look was well-received by fans.
