AEW Summer’s Big Hit Results (6/11/2025): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens with AEW women’s world champion “timeless” Tony’s Storm being forced into the arena by Luther on a tricycle.
He then sees Christopher Daniels walking behind the scenes with “Hangman” Adam Page, and says he can’t fight every Death Rider that follows John Moxley: Texas. Daniels then tells Page that the younger Bucks have no back, but the others behind them may want to fix it, as Daniels himself can’t help. The page then leaves, but Moxley sees a spy lying on the side as the opening video appears, showing Death Rider’s stalker page.
Excalibur welcomes us to the show alongside Taz and Ian Riccaboni. Swerve Strickland then heads towards the ring.
Single Match: Swerve Strickland vs. “The Aerial Assassin” will be OSPREAY
The match begins with Strickland reaching out for Ospreay. This leads to a bit of wrist control to see who can have the advantage. We then receive an exchange of attacks that leads to a leap from Osprea, but Swerve surprises him before the two reach their feet. They then pounded each other’s headsizers, took each man to the mat, and took them to the mat just to get both to stand up quickly. This ends with a standoff.
Both men are then locked up and Osprey sends Strickland onto the ropes before the judge intervenes. The nosebleeds from Ospreay appear to have worsened after a palm strike by Strickland. Ospreay then hits Strickland on Skytwister Press, but doesn’t even get a 1 count. Strickland is then sent to the corner, where Ospreay delivers some strikes before slamming him with a chop. Strickland looks barely wattled as he stares at Osprey. Strickland then delivers several strikes of his own, leading to a dropkick that sends Osprey to the mat. Ospreay then reaches the ropes, pulling down top 1 and forces Strickland outwards, but Strickland brings Ospreay back into the ring and sends hard for a two count before Ospreay kicks out.
Osprey then finds himself on the corner as Strickland slams him on him with a backbreaker to hold him down for another two counts. He then grabs Osprey’s arm with his face, but Osprey fights with his feet before Strickland blocks the resistance of his arm and returns to the canvas. Ospreay then reaches his feet once more and goes for some chops, but Strickland pounds him with his elbow. Ospreay then fights back in the throat with his forearm, then goes to a corkscrew kick that pushes Strickland into the corner. Ospreay then hits an elbow strike and follows it with the springboard elbow, but Strickland rolls outward for a breather. Osprey then hits Strickland with the Sasuke Special.
Ospreay and Swerve return to the ring, and Ospreay has an advantage, but Strickland takes him to the ropes and gives him a kick to the face. Strickland then hangs Ospreay on the rope, breaks his neck and pushes him down hard against the floor. He then sends Osprey back into the ring and sends him closer to the mat into autumn before bending his arms to target. Ospreay then hits Strickland with a side headlock and pushes him onto his back in the nearby fall. As Strickland steps in, Ospreay is backing up and hitting strikes to set up a storm breaker, but Strickland Counters. Strickland then goes to Brainbuster, but Ospreay counters with Standg billionaires, leaving the arms Strickland grabbing for the cross arm breaker open.
Ospreay then finds a way out of the hold by reaching the vertical base, and he lifts Strickland and sends it to the turnbuckle. When Strickland reaches the turnbuckle, both men step in, but Ospreyey attacks him with a kick to the face and follows it with Hari Canrana. Strickland then blocks the hidden blade, but hits with a Spanish fly, making the Osprey almost fall. Ospreay then hits Oscutter on Strickland, but only gets 2 counts. Osprey then leaves the ring when Strickland goes to Hemp Sai’s Moonzoo, but Ospreye manages to dodge it and return to the ring, hitting Strickland’s hidden blade. Both men have fallen outside and Strickland rises slowly.
Both men are back in the ring and they trade strikes. Osprey then hits several hard kicks that force Strickland to his knees, but Strickland dodges the hidden blade and causes Osprey to collide with the ring post instead. Strickland then takes Osprey to the turnbuckle, then sends him to the mat. He then struggles to get his Masprey Eye free, so he goes to the Cross Arm Breaker again, but Strickland has a triangular choke trapped there. Strickland then strikes an elbow strike to escape a style conflict attempt to hit the eyes of death. Strickland then asks for cover, but Ospreay kicks out. Strickland then rises to the top for a Swarvestomp, but Masprey Eye rolls down before hitting the hidden blade. Strickland is then kicked out at 2. Both men are then slowly built on a vertical base, staring at each other before trading strikes. Ospreay and Strickland step in as they continue their exchanges.
Strickland then defeats Ospreay with arm terminology and a house call. Strickland then returns to the top and hits the Swarvestomp, covering, but once again only has two counts. Strickland chased his arm and nearly snapped it with a kick before heading towards the corner, running to the hidden blade. Ospreay then hits Stormbreaker and Cover, but Strickland kicks out. Ospreay then struggles with the feet as it brings Strickland with a double underhook, but Strickland escapes Ospreay with Vertebreaker and hits. After that, Strickland goes to House Call. Strickland is heading towards the corner as the Maspree Eye struggles to move. Strickland then reaches the top, but he stumbles as he searches for Swarvestomp and Belling.
The single match ends with a 30-minute time-limited draw!
After the match, Strickland grabs the microphone and says that Ospreay calls himself the best in AEW, but is the only way to prove that it’s to finish the match. He then challenges Osprey to a sudden death, but Ospreyey is able to respond to Death Rider’s music and they can go out. The Death Rider then surrounds the Strickland in the ring, but the young Bucks attack Strickland from behind and hits him with an EVP trigger. Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson deliver him some superkicks with a handcuffed Strickland facing the central rope. Wheeler Yuta slides the young bag into the bag, and Matthew removes some of his shoes with a thumb tuck connected to the bottom. Nicholas and Matthew each wear shoes and try to hit a double superkick at Strickland. Ospreay then dives in front of Strickland in the final second and takes a double superkick from Strickland. The young Bucks then leave the ring and the ringside doctor checks for OSPREAY.
The commentary then talks about what’s just down. They also talk about the big winner playing all the matches: Before Texas sends things behind the scenes, Kazuchika Okada is interviewed by Renee Puckett, who is quickly interrupted by Don Karis. Karis then asks why Takechita and Fletcher aren’t in the match against Omega. Okada then grabs Karis’ fingers and twists it, and his family appears and defends him. Okada calls Karis AB *** H and leaves.
Then we head to another part of the behind-the-scenes area and there’s a fuss. Next, you can see that Komander is laid out by a damaged syndicate. It was then announced that Máscara Dorada would snatch his spot at a Trios match late tonight.
Mystico then proceeds towards the ring for the next match of the night, with Blake Christian already waiting inside.
Single Match: Custom vs Break Christian
The match begins with Mystico gaining early benefits until Mystico takes her to the mat. Christian then takes Mystico towards the rope, where he thrusts his boots down his throat until the judge intervenes, which gives Mystico a Christian takedown and an opportunity to fight back. Mystico then heads to the ropes when Christian tries to take him away again, but this time he takes a Hari Canrana, which would force Christian to the outside. Mystico then thrusts the ropes and brings the Christian back into the ring for a kick. He then follows it and follows the Springboard Crossbody that makes Mystico almost fall.
Mystico then moves the crowd before heading for the turnbuckle, but Lee Johnson gets involved, allowing Christians to catch Mystico outside. He then brings Mystico back into the ring and goes up to the top for a 450 splash, but only gets two counts. Christian then returns to the corner, but is intercepted by Mystico. Mystico then attacks the Spanish fly with Christian for victory.
Mystico, the winner of the singles match!
After the match, Mystico shortens his celebration with the arrival of the wounded syndicate. The MVP then grabs the microphone and says that it is an official announcement from The Hurt Syndicate. After that, the MVP says he specifically has a message from MJF to Místico. After that, MJF talks about being the best professional wrestler in the world today. After that, MJF will offer the match to Mystico in Grand Slam: Mexico next week, and he says no one will get, and is getting the return of the Patriots. MJF blesses God and God bless your American hero. Patriotic music is a hit, and you get streamers in red, white and blue, just like the MJF-USA flag. MJF then enters the ring and Místico laughs at him before accepting the match. Mystico then says something in Spanish that the MJF accompany the MVP in translation. After that, it raises rilesmjf as he tells him Mystico is a sloppy sinful calamity. After that, MJF asks for a punch, but Místico blocks it. Before they do anything else, Speedball and his friends make their way for the save.

Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli take him to the ring as a briefcase continues to host the AEW World Championship. The Death Rider then attacks the page and places a chair around his neck, but the OPPS music hits and goes out into the ring and helps the page.
