AEW Grand Slam: Mexico Results (6/18/2025): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show begins with Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us. “Hangman” Adam Page’s music hits and he moves towards the ring with the microphone in hand. Page introduces himself in Spanish and admits that he has an unstable handle in his language. Excalibur then provides translations as Page talks about his family, growing up on the farm, dealing with bonds that he shares with people who work hard for his own family. Page thank the crowd who placed them in their home tonight. Page thank CMLL for the opportunity to work together and show off the best wrestling in the world. Page then turns his attention to AEW world champion John Moxley. Page says he won’t wrestling tonight and was banned from the arena during the main event, but no one said anything after the match. Page says he will turn his eyes to John Moxley. The music on the page hits as he leads the lamp.
Next, the comments run the lineup for tonight’s show.
FTR’s music hits, and Stokeley Hathaway makes it clear that Cash Wheeler will not compete tonight due to circumstances beyond his control. Stokeley then says they have a replacement for Voldor Jr. He heads towards the ring for the first match of the night, followed by the Don Charis family.
Bandido then heads into the ring for the first match of the night, followed by CMLL’s Atlantis, Templario and Atlantis Junior. Daniel Garcia and Adam Cole then proceed to the ring, with the match underway.
14 Man Tag Team Match: Roh World Champion Bandido, Paragon’s Aew TNT champion Adam Cole, Daniel Garcia, Hounds of Hell’s Brody King, Templario, Atlantis, Atlantis Jr. vs. Don Callis family (“The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita, “The Protostar” Kyle leterher” and Ftr’s Dax “The Axe” Harwood and Volador Jr.
The match begins with Bandido and Konosuke Takeshita, with both men moving back and forth between them. Hechsero then tagged and Bandido appears to kick him, but Hechsero avoids it and closes his submission to Bandido. Bandido then counters to a roll-up, but Hechesero kicks out.
Garcia then tagged and Hechesero gets caught up in the winding up. Hexero then rolls out of the ring and runs away. Harwood then tags Garcia in the clothesline, but Atlantis Jr. tag and nail it. The Templario will hit with Atlantis Jr. holding Harwood in place, tagging Harwood’s dropkick from the middle rope. Atlantis Jr. attacks the German suppression at Harwood, but Volador Jr. tags him on his side, Templerio flies over the top rope and nails the outer Volador Jr.
King nails Harwood with a kick, but Lance Archer nails Archer with a superkick. He then runs down his knee and chases after it, but Fletcher tags in and delivers his knee to the middle of Cole. Cole then nails Fletcher with the clothesline, but Fletcher stays on his leg and hits Cole with the German suppression. Bandido then tag and trades for a forearm strike with Josh Alexander. Alexander then hits a belly-to-belly suppression with the bandid, but Takeshita climbs onto the top rope. Alexander then trips him, but Temple Lario and Bandido hit double flip crossbody with Alexander and Takechita respectively.
Atlantis Jr. tag in and climbs up the top rope, but Alexander goes back and tags. Atlantis Jr. hits Alexander into the ring on the top rope, with Lamp and Atlantis Jr., Cole, Bandido and Garcia winning Alexander. Archer and King then exchange right hands in the ring, but Hexero jumps off the rope and nails King. He then delivers some stomping to the King, but King nails Hexero with Hurricane Rana. King then bumps into Taupe Swampida and knocks Hechesero and Takeshita outwards. Harwood and Atlantis then tag him, and Atlantis gives him his right hand and Harwood gives his left hand. Harwood then delivers some stomps to Atlantis, but Atlantis winds up Harwood for the victory.
14-man tag team match, ROH World Champion Bandido, Paragon AEW TNT champion Adam Cole, Daniel Garcia, Hound of Hells Brodyking, Templario, Atlantis, Atlantis Junior!
After the match, Harwood blinds Atlantis from behind. King and Templario Atlantis Jr. came to help Atlantis and led Harwood back.
Then, looking at Okadagawa and Kenny Omega history before the big winners, get a video package and play every game in Texas.
Mark Brisco then heads into the ring for the next night’s match, and Okada continues.
Non-title match: AEW Continental Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada vs. Mark Briscoe
The match begins with both men locking up, and Okada sends Briscoe down the ropes and then kicks him out of the ring. Brisco then returns after running around, but Okada is able to induce him even more damage and intercept him. Okada then takes Brisco to the corner, but Briscoe escapes from Okada’s grasp. Brisco then takes him down with a kick to hit Okada with some hard strikes. Okada then begins to fight back, but Briscoe sends him out and jumps over the ropes. Brisco then returns Okada to the ring. Okada then fights back and sends Briscoe out with a dropkick.
Both men return to the ring again, and Okada controls Brisco as he sends him to the mat. Okada then sets Brisco as a gravestone, but Brisco counters the nearby autumn. Briscoe then avoids the rainmaker for a kick and pushes Okada against the canvas. Brisco then exchanges a strike with Okada. Brisco then sends Okada to the ropes, but is knocked down by Okada. Brisco then defeats Okada hardly almost in the fall. Briscoe is then defeated by a neckbreaker on several strikes, allowing Okada to drop his elbow and regain control. Okada then flips the crowd over and turns Brisco off, but Brisco bites Okada’s finger. Briscoe then beats Okada and then goes up to the top for the frog’s bow, but only gets two counts.
Brisco then asks for a Jay Driller, but Okada slaps him with a drop on the back. Brisco then avoids the Lariat, but is attacked by Okada’s dropkick. Brisco then dodges another rain maker. Brisco then goes to another Jay Driller, but it is blocked and both men exchange between Jay Driller and Rainmaker’s attempts. Okada then hits Briscoe with the tombstone pile driver. Okada bumps into Briscoe’s rainmaker for victory.
Kazuchika Okada is the winner of matches other than the title, AEW Continental Champion’s “The Rainmaker”!
After the match, Don Charis Lakes Briscoe’s eyes. Okada then attacks Briscoe with the AEW Continental Championship Belt, and Callis provides Briscoe with some stomps. Okada then joins him, before both men heading back.
MJF then heads into the ring for the next match on the night, with Hurt Syndicate and Místico continuing.
Single Match: MJF vs Místico in The Hurt Syndicate
The match begins with MJF pushing Místico into the mat. Mystico then defeats MJF before retreating. This gives the MJF an opening to hit the kick. Mystico then fights from the side headlock, wears off the MJF. Mystico then attacks the headsizer with the MJF, bringing the nearby autumn to the ground. The MJF then rolls out of the ring for breath and advice from the MVP.
Mystico chases him before he is cut off by a wounded syndicate. MJF then brings Mystico back into the ring and drops his knee, but Mystico sends MJF into the corner. Mystico then asks for follow-up, but he is sent to the turnbuckle by the MJF. Mystico then defeats MJF, but MJF hits a move at Mystico in the nearby fall.
Before MJF sends him back to the ring, Hurt Syndicate unites in Místico. Mystico then fights back, sending MJF to the ropes, then elbow attacks him. Mystico then invited MJF to the corner and then kicked him. Místico then sets up a DDT and rolls outwards to the MJF for a breather. MJF then returns to his feet, but Místico drops on him. Místico then sends MJF back into the ring and heads to the top for Moonsault, but MJF gets in the way. After that, MJF gets caught up in Power Slam instead, but Místico only gets two counts.
Afterwards, Mystico takes MJF to his feet for some strikes before hitting the ropes, and MJF catches Mystico in his eyes. Mystico then responds with a kick, but MJF hits the destroyer with two counts. The MJF then improves the lamp, but Místico chases and looks for La Mistica. MJF then rebuts with the Tombstone Piledriver. When the judge left the ring and checked, both men fell. MJF then makes it on his leg and starts counting by pulling the referee towards the ring. Mystico then descends the ramp when the count reaches 8 before returning to the ring. MJF then searches for a Long Island sunrise from the turnbuckle, but Místico intercepts him for a Spanish fly to the mat. After that, Mystico can get the cover, but only for two counts.
Mystico then recovers, but the judge is distracted by the MVP. Místico then attacks La Mistica and MJF’s taps, but the referee doesn’t see it as he’s still distracted. MJF can give a low blow for roll-ups. Mystico is then kicked out. The MJF then hits another low blow in front of the umpire, and the umpire seeks the bell for disqualification.
Singles winner, Mystico due to disqualification!
After the match, the Heart Syndicate continues to beat Mystico. The MJF then removes Místico’s mask and parades it, but Bandido, Templario and Titán become Místico’s assistance. Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey creep up behind the Heart syndicate and hit a dropkick from the center rope. Mystico is then handed a mask to pay respects. His music then hits as the Heart Syndicate retreats the lamp.
Ricochet then heads into the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Hologram, Rio Rush and Mascara Dorada.
4 million peso high flight 4-way match: Máscara Doradavs. Ricochet vs. Hologram vs. Cru’s Lio Rush
The match begins with all four men facing off against each other. Rush goes to the corner and laughs at the fans. They then jump to him before Rush and Ricochette cut the field in half for the alliance. They then lie on the hologram with the Dorada and the hologram, sending it to the horn for more attacks as the hologram is sent out of the ring. Ricochette slams Dorada’s clothesline as the hologram returns to the ring. The hologram and dorada are then sent to the outside floor.
Ricochet and Rush look for diving, but are intercepted when Hologram and Dorado take both men with him. The Ricochet is then sent to the corner by Drada’s drag on the springboard arm. They then stare at each other before hitting the rope, where Ricochet and Rush pull them outwards. Ricochet then sends a hologram to the barricade, and Rush does the same to Dorada. Rush then sends Dorada back into the ring, where Ricochet waits, doubles Team Dorada. The alliance then collapses, allowing Dorada to fight back. Dorada then sends Rush to the corner for a kick, but is dumped by Ricochet before Rush sends him to the barricade.
The hologram then catches the lash with the ropes and searches for the crossbody, but is attacked by an anti-air dropkick by Ricochet. Ricochet then sends the hologram outwards, and Rush hits the dive. Dorada is sent out of the ring and can quickly target the hologram with Ricochet again. He then leaves the ring when he sees Rush and Ricochet arguing. This leads to a swinging contest between them until Dorada sends Ricochet to Rush with a dropkick. Dorada has the upper hand over both opponents until he leaves him, just as the hologram comes in.
Dorada and Hologram chase after each other, but instead they hit a stereo dive with Ricochet and run around the outside. They then go back to the ring and go to it and trade offensives until Dorada catches the hologram. Ricochet then comes and pushes him away before rushing to trade Dorada for a strike. Dorada then slams the boots with Rush. Ricochet then comes in and avoids Hurrikel Lana hitting a double step stool with Dorada. Rush then turns his attention to the hologram and sends Ricochet to the corner before hitting him with poisoned lana for a two-count. Rush then hits a frog splash at Dorada, but Ricochet breaks the pin with 2. He then rushes before rushing to the top, but Rush intercepts.
They fight it with the turnbuckle before Rush goes to Hari Can Rana, but Ricochet blocks it. Rush blocks the Powerbomb setup before the hologram grabs him. Lash then has a cover with feet on the rope, blocking the portal bomb and Ricochet falls onto the mat. The hologram hits a portal bomb for victory before Ricochette stops it.

After the match, the hologram celebrates the victory.
Mercedes Monet then goes to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Zeuxis.
CMLL World Women’s Championship Match: Zeuxis (C) vs. Aew TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedesmon
The match begins with Zeuxis dropping Moné down on the mat and descending in the immediate autumn, then sending Moné into the corner for two running kicks. Zeuxis then continues his attack and places it on Moné, who is about to jump to Zeuxis. Zeuxis then catches Moné in another nearby autumn. Zeuxis then follows it with Moné’s lung blower to kick out. Monet then takes him to the ropes and jumps over Zeuxis for the statement maker, but Zeuxis crawls onto the ropes for a break. Zeuxis leaves the ring but is sent to the barricade by Moné. Monet then returns Zeuxis to Meteora and a two-count ring.
Zeuxis then takes him to the ropes for Hurricanrana, which pushes Moné upwards. Zeuxis then jumps to the floor with Moné. Monet took control as he headed towards the corner, but Zeuxis intercepts Spanish fly and nearby autumn. Zeuxis wants to regain control when he sends Moné to the corner and sends her to the mat, but Moné hits some kind of Powerslam for victory and hits.
Winner and new CMLL World Women’s Champion, AEW TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedes Monet!
After the match, a video message in the style of Tonistorm’s film noir begins to play. Shirakawa then appears at the top of the entrance lamp, with a storm sneaking up behind Monet. Storm then chases Monet through the entrance lamp and sets up for her Storm Zero. Authorities then break down the two women. The officials then eventually force a storm as her music hits, but she grabs the microphone and tells Monet “Let’s start the game.”
The Osprey then heads to the ring for the night’s main event, followed by OPPS and Swerve Strickland. Beast Mortus, Death Rider and the young Bucks move towards the ring.
10 Man Tag Team Match: Death Rider (AEW World Champions John Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Uta), Beast Mortus, Young Bucks Matthew Jackson vs. Sweeve Strickland, “Aerial Assassin” Will Osprey, OPPS
The match starts with Matthew Jackson, with Will Osprey and Matthew tagging Mortos. Mortus then hits a big right hand with Ospreay and sends him to the corner. Mortus then continues his beatdown of Ospreae until Ospreae attacks him with Hurricane Lana and forces Maltus to the outside. Ospreay then goes on a dive, but is intercepted by Nicholas. Nicholas and Matthew then doubled Team Osprey before heading out when Strickland tried to join. Ospreay then retorts Matthew and Nicholas with a few Manhattan drops, but the younger Bucks drop off on the mat once more before Yuta tagged them.
Ospreay then fights back and sends Yuta to the canvas. Utah then fights back, but Strickland responds with a backbreaker before tagging it with a Samoa Joe. Joe then smacks him with a horned utah and chases him with a hard kick and a calm elbow. Joe then tages Shibata and pulls Uta to his leg for a forearm strike that Uta tries to fight back against him. The exchange between both men then ends when Shivata drops Uta violently before tagging him with Hobbs. Hobbs sends Utah hard into the corner before Joe tages him. Joe hits a few of his own hard strikes before going to the cover, but Utah kicks out for two. Moxley then gets the tag when he and Joe trade strikes before Joe crosses over to the Coquina clutch. This leads to mixed chaos when all 10 people enter it. Ospreay then sends Matthew outside to clear the ring, then hits Skytwister Press, sending everyone to the floor.
Moxley and Ospreay are in the ring, with Moxley taking a two count. Moxley then goes to Kimura, but Ospreyey then tries to fight. Moxley can then break the hold and move Strickland away. Ospreay then hit the rope and kicked with Moxley. Moxley then tags Utah. Hobbs is also tagged, bumping into a series of clothesline mortgages, sending them to the mat with a short arm lariat before sending Utah to the corner. The Bucks then run up to intervene, but Hobbs barely gets a fist.
Hobbs then blocks a superkick and grabs Bucks by his throat, but Moxley splits it. Hobbs then hits the rope and sends it out! Uta is then sent to the corner as Shibata makes tags for running kicks and suppresses. Hobbs then tracks it in a power slam, which allows the waves to get a nearby fall. Mortus then breaks things down and lays almost everyone before Joe enters. Joe then trades strikes before being sent to the corner, where he slams Mortos with Uranage. The Bucks then come in to send Joe out of the ring, which causes the Osprey to avoid the EVP trigger and hit the male cutter to kick him out of the ring. Strickland then escapes for a dive.
Shibata and Utah slug it until both fall onto the canvas. Strickland and Moxley are then tagged in and Moxley is carried to the mat. Swerve and Ospreay double Moxley until Matthew stops Swerve Stomp and Chaos is able to roll up Swerve with a handful of trunks for victory.

After the match, the heels continue the beatdown until “Hangman” Adam Page heads towards the ring for a save. Page then runs the Death Rider to Roughshod until he goes to Moxley’s Buckshot Lariat. Moxley then dodges it and sends the Hangman to Matthew Jackson instead. Nicholas screams at him as Moxley tries to blindside him. The page then begins to follow them, but to no avail. Hangman then focuses on engaging the crowd as the show approaches its end and commentary screams to CMLL and Mexican fans.
