Former “WWE NXT” talent Trey Bearhill embarked on his journey to become a notable WWE personality after joining the 2022 Performance Center class. Interestingly, Bearhill never originally saw professional wrestling as a career path. Inspired by Hall of Famer Rikishi, Bearhill realized that someone with his build could make it in wrestling, which motivated him to pursue this dream.
At the time of his tryout, Bearhill was working at the Tulsa Botanical Garden and remembers anxiously waiting to hear if he had been selected. “It felt like it took forever,” Bearhill shared on “Developmentally Speaking.” After about a week, WWE contacted him to discuss moving forward, to which he eagerly agreed, despite being at work when they called.
Relocating to Florida was a significant step for Bearhill and his wife since they had no family close by, but they embraced the challenge in pursuit of his wrestling ambitions. Bearhill spent two years with WWE before being released in May 2024. Although wrestling wasn’t his focus right now, the couple committed to making the most of their new journey. Since his release, Bearhill has not been involved in competitive sports.
