Chris Jericho’s Upcoming Schedule and Rumored AEW Comebacks Revealed

2 Min Read

It’s been almost three months since AEW or ROH fans last saw Chris Jericho on screen, marking the longest stretch without his involvement since AEW’s return in 2019. Jericho had lost the ROH World Championship in April and, during this time, took the opportunity to focus on his band Fozzy’s extensive tour, deciding it was a good moment to step away from AEW.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter by Dave Meltzer, there is currently no set date for Jericho’s return in April. Jericho himself hinted at this during a tour with Fozzy. Additionally, the band has announced a UK tour in February 2026, meaning Jericho will be unavailable from February 6th to 21st, though no AEW events have been scheduled during those dates yet.

Before his break, Jericho was a regular figure on AEW TV, known for his personas “The Learning Tree” and “Nueve.” In 2024, he captured both the FTW and ROH World Championships but faced considerable fan backlash, which led to the creation of the “Learning Tree” gimmick as a response.

Fan Take: Chris Jericho’s absence leaves a noticeable gap in AEW’s storytelling, highlighting how influential he remains in the promotion. His eventual return could reinvigorate storylines and bring fresh energy to the sport, making this a critical moment for AEW fans to watch closely.
