The WWE Hall of Fame is gearing up for its next chapter with Evolution 2.
This week, WWE revealed that an episode of Raw would take place at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On the same day, they also taped Friday’s SmackDown, which featured several thrilling moments.
One highlight was Jade Cargill confronting women’s champion Tiffany Stratton after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament. To the fans’ surprise, the champions introduced the returning wrestling legend Trish Stratus.
This confirmed Trish Stratus’s first singles match since 2023, where she will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the Evolution 2 title.
Stratus also participated in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble and teamed with Stratton to face Candice LeRae and Nia Jax at Canada’s Elimination Chamber PPV earlier this year.
This announcement marks the fifth match confirmed for upcoming events. Jordynne Grace earned her title opportunity by winning a fatal four-way for Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s Championship. Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley is set to challenge Iyo Sky for the women’s title, and Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez will defend the tag team championships in a fatal four-way. Additionally, a Battle Royale was announced, with the winner earning a title shot at Clash in Paris on August 31st.
