Ex-WCW Announcer Mark Madden Set to Join TNA Broadcast Booth This Friday

TNA Wrestling has announced that Pittsburgh native Mark Madden will join the broadcast team at the TNA Live event held at the UPMC Event Center on Friday, June 20th. Madden, a Pittsburgh Sports Radio host, will serve as a special color commentator during the event at Robert Morris University’s campus.

Madden’s wrestling career spans decades, including a notable stint at WCW from 1993 to 2000. He became a familiar face on WCW Monday Nitro in 2000, known for his outspoken style and distinctive Hawaiian shirts. He was also a pioneer in integrating wrestling with online streaming during his time at WCW.

Fans can hear Madden on WXDX 105.9-FM, Pittsburgh’s leading sports radio station. In addition to his broadcasting career, Madden has been a sportswriter, contributing to WCW Magazine and currently writing for Triblive.com. He co-authored and edited Ric Flair’s bestselling autobiography and is a passionate supporter of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Liverpool FC.

This event marks TNA’s return to Pittsburgh for the first time since 2011. The live show will run from June 20th to 21st at the UPMC Event Center near Pittsburgh, Moontownship, Pennsylvania. The event will feature an impressive lineup including notable wrestlers like Joe Hendry, Steve McLin, Moose, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Nick Nemes, Mustafa Ali, Eric Young, Tessa Blanchard, Masha Sulamovich, and Rosemary.
