The July 8 episode of WWE NXT delivered an exciting show packed with anticipation for the company’s upcoming events, including the highly anticipated Evolution event and a women’s summit. WWE Evolution is set to take place on Sunday, July 13th, 2025, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, marking the second premium live event exclusively featuring female talent. As expected, numerous women from across WWE’s brands are eager to participate.
Throughout the night, several female wrestlers including the Dungeon Dolls, Natalia, Maxine Dupuri, Zelina Vega, and Ivy Nile appeared behind the scenes at the NXT Arena, indicating a women’s summit was underway. This closed-door segment was highlighted throughout the episode.
Ava kickstarted the segment by reflecting on the original WWE Evolution event from 2018, which she watched during high school, and expressed her pride that NXT stars will soon be spotlighted at premium live events. Notably, six NXT women will compete in the Evolution’s #1 Contender Battle Royal. The six participants from NXT are Jada Parker, Laura Vise, Kerani Jordan, Lash Legend, Ijidam, and Tatum Pax. The segment then saw a confrontation as Jordynne Grace, Lash Legend, and Stephanie Vaquer joined and shared their confidence in their chances to win. Natalia and Maxine Dupuri also made appearances with brief promos, while tensions escalated when Ivy Nile, Zelina Vega, Julia, and Haida Parker joined in, culminating in a brawl that closed the summit segment.
Additionally, Sol Ruca and Zaria have already secured their spots as NXT representatives in the four-way women’s tag team title match at Evolution. The brand will also be featured in the Women’s Battle Royal, with the winner earning a title shot at Clash in Paris on August 31, 2025, at the Paris-La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France.
