“Yeah, the only person I asked was Octagon, and he basically said no,” Konnan clarified.
Disco Inferno further pressed Konnan on whether Octagon Jr. confirmed he hadn’t signed, to which Konnan reiterated, “Yeah, he told you no.” Konnan affirmed that he was being truthful about his inquiry with Octagon.

The report claimed he was finishing up his commitments with AAA before officially starting with WWE and mentioned that he would no longer take independent wrestling bookings as he prepares for a full-time role.
