WWE Great American Bash Countdown Pre-Show (7/12/25)

Hosts Megan Morant and Sam Roberts take a look at today’s match lineup.

The video package will air with the emphasis on the men’s North American title match.

Before their match, let’s take a look at Jasper Troy and Javon Evans.

Blake Howard interviews Jasper Troy.

Blake asks about Jasper’s journey to WWE. Jasper says he doesn’t like to talk about his past, but he has always loved physical contact. He recalls the moment playing football in Kansas when he wanted to kick someone in Kansas, stand on top of him, crush his head into the grass. That’s the same way he brings to WWE. He is fine and leaves his body path behind.

When asked what LFG means to him, Jasper says he was inspired by Booker T, Baba Leidudrey and Undertaker. They taught him to take advantage of every opportunity. He’s not here to make friends. He is here to conquer.

Jasper says that when he began facing Je’von Evans from a feud with Oba Femi, Je’von grew up in a structured environment, but he didn’t have it. Jasper says he had to make his own path, and Evans doesn’t joke at his expense. Asked about Je’von’s in-ring style and how he prepares, Jasper admits that Evans is talented, but insists that he cannot go to the toes with him. He says he will hit je’von and drive him to the mat. Jasper declares that the future of NXT belongs to him. He closes by saying he’s defeating everyone. He plans to test how “voluptuous” Je’von is. Jasper says he is true – and the world is about to find it.

I’ll go to the video after NXT. There, Josh talks to Inamra.

Josh tells Inamra they have an oba where he wants. He says he will do anything to help Tanaka and asks why he appears upset. This is the biggest match of his career. Inamura says he wasn’t trying to hurt the old man. He wants to fight him with honor. Josh says he understands, but this is not about honor. By winning the title, you become a national hero in Japan. He promises they will make sure it happens.

Next, we will shift to a video package for women’s North American title matches.

Kelly Kincaid interviews Izzi Dame, joined by Tatum Paxley. Kelly asks how their friendship began. Izzy says she saw herself in Tatum. She explains that Spears gave her instructions and now she wants to do the same for Tatum. Tatum says he’s happy that he finally makes real friends. Izzy was the first person who really wanted to be her friend. Everyone else disappeared. She says she feels this is the closest to having a family.

Izzi believes Tatum helped him get his first title match. Kelly then raises Sol Luka and Zaria and asks Tatham how she feels about them. Tatum says that she and Izzi both have done bad things in the past, but that doesn’t mean they have to be kind to anyone. She says she didn’t feel like she belonged to Zaria and Sol, and was treated like a third wheel. But at Izzy, she feels important. Izzi reminds her of everything Sol and Zaria have done, saying that Tatum doesn’t need such a friendship. When asked about Sol, Izzy says that since no one has been hotter in the ring than her lately, it’s better for her to do her best. Izzy says it won’t stop until she becomes North American champion. Tatum closes by saying he knows her new friend is walking with the title.

We will look at the circumstances surrounding the signing of the TNA contract and set the stage for the future.

The video package will be broadcast to highlight upcoming tag team matches.

Megan says that tonight’s show will start with Jaspert Roy vs. Jevon Evans.

The video package will then be broadcast and focused on tag team match.

Behind the scenes, Kelly Kincaid interviews the fatal impact. Jacy Jayne arrives first and tells Kelly that she can start the interview without anyone else. Kelly asks that this is the biggest weekend of her career in matches in both the Great American Bash and Evolution.

Jacy says Jordynne Grace and Blake Howard are not a real team. She says that fatal impact is a real unit and Blake will know that there is a level in this. According to Jacy “Blake says she is the next champion, but her partner and everyone else have said the same thing. I’m already a champion. And I’ll stay as a champion.”

Kelly brings up the trust issues the group had over the past year. Jacee says they’ve always aimed to win championships and shape the division. Now, a year later, Fallon wins the North American title and she is the world champion. She says she will do whatever it takes to win a tag match on Saturday, whatever it takes to hold on Sunday.

When asked about her early days of toxic charm and where her thinking lies now, Jacee says she always knew that she was meant for this role, even if fans didn’t believe it. She says she joined Fallon and helped Jazmine get back from her unrelatedness. Now she heads to the biggest weekend in women’s wrestling as a champion.

Kelly then asks about her falling into evolution as the NXT women’s champion. Jacee says people doubted that she could become the evolutionary champion. “I’m tired of being called the beatable champion most. How can I defeat Stephanie Verker and Rainey Reed? Fallon and Jazmine arrive, and Jacey ends the interview abruptly. “That’s enough. The interview is over.”
