The former X-Division Champion shared this update on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account, clarifying that he chose to delay the surgery to avoid disappointing his fans.

Miguel discussed the tough choice he faced regarding the timing of his surgery, ultimately deciding to perform at one of TNA’s most significant events. “After Slammiversary, I will have surgery for my hernia,” he wrote. “I was given the option, and I chose to be there. I’ll give it my absolute best because that’s what @ThisIsTNA and you, the fans, deserve.”
