Iguana Reveals Which WWE Superstars Fueled His Passion and Inspiration

2 Min Read

With his distinctive reptile charm, Iguana has won over audiences in WWE X AAA Worlds. In a recent conversation with Dennis Salcedo, he shared that he draws inspiration from the performers he watches inside the ring.

"I quickly became a fan of Eddie Guerrero because of his technical skills and perfectly expressive facial gestures," Iguana said. "He could play both a hero and a villain and had a great sense of humor. I’m a good guy, a babyface, but I also have a mischievous side. Sometimes I come off as childlike. I don’t cheat outright, but I do use tactics like ‘yesca,’ which is a form of cheating. I see a lot of that in Eddie’s style."

He continued, "I also watch Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts closely because of his promos. Rey Mysterio is incredible—his moves in the ring are unique and unmatched. I admire The Great Muta from Japan, with his face paint and expressions. He wasn’t a babyface but a heel, an evil character."

Iguana began his pro wrestling career in 2009, four years after the death of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero due to heart failure. Despite this, Guerrero’s legacy continues to inspire many, including Iguana.

Recently, Iguana and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio met backstage at Worlds Collide. Iguana shared photos of the occasion on social media. Mysterio was there to show his passion for Lucha Libre. Soon after, Iguana secured a victory over Lynce Dorado with LWO members Cruz del Toro and Dragon Lee supporting him in the corner.
