During an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, McIntyre discussed his time working under Vince McMahon, revealing that McMahon had a very clear and specific vision for him and was focused on maintaining his warrior image. McIntyre said, “For Vince, personally, he had a certain image of me and always aimed to protect me as this warrior character. If I tried to step outside that box, it wasn’t because of him—he saw me strictly as that warrior.”
In contrast, McIntyre praised working under Triple H’s creative direction, describing him as having a “modern mindset” that allowed McIntyre to express more of his genuine personality. He explained, “Hunter thinks in many different ways. We try new things; we make this character more myself, and when he took over, we had our first conversation about that.”
