WWE superstar Bianca Bel Air recently shared an update on the finger injuries that have kept her out of action since WrestleMania 41. In an interview with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, Belair described the complexity of her recovery, admitting that she “needs this break” from her relentless schedule.
Belair revealed that during a triple threat match at WrestleMania, she sustained a finger injury involving multiple fractures and joint damage. Although the bones have healed, limited mobility is preventing her from being cleared to compete, and the finger tends to break again when straightened. She said, “I broke it in three places and joints. It healed, but it doesn’t bend. It breaks again, so I can’t wrestle with my fingers straight… I still can’t even sew or make gear,” adding that she’s awaiting a decision on whether surgery will be necessary.
Despite the setbacks, “The Est” welcomed the holiday period as a much-needed respite after five grueling years filled with nonstop reality TV filming, appearances, and title photo shoots—totaling over 300 appearances in a single year. While she remains uncertain about her exact return date, Belair hasn’t dismissed the possibility of appearing at SummerSlam. She has stayed visible on WWE programming, recently acting as a special guest umpire for Naomi and Jade Cargill at WWE Evolution.
Belair’s injury at WrestleMania 41 led to her and partner Jade Cargill vacating the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. During Belair’s recovery, Cargill transitioned into singles competition and rapidly climbed the ranks. Cargill is now preparing to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at the upcoming SummerSlam Premium Live event.
Fan Take: Bianca Belair’s injury and recovery highlight the physical toll WWE superstars endure while juggling demanding schedules. Her potential return sparks excitement and hope for fresh storylines, while Jade Cargill’s rise underscores the dynamic shifts within WWE’s women’s division—both of which keep the sport vibrant and unpredictable.
