Ronda Rousey throws out gym workouts for MMA to get her body back

Ronda Rousey is literally back to her powers. The former UFC and WWE Megastar made fans not to watch their post-babe body without filtering in an Instagram video on July 24, 2025, shortly after welcoming their second daughter.

In the clip, Rousey confidently posed in her mirror, showing off the results of her intense recovery journey. However, the real story appeared in the caption, where she was praised for her MMA training for helping her bouncing back better than ever before, rather than traditional gym training.

“To be able to train my MMA again this time, this time made a huge difference. Just doing regular gym lifting/cardio workouts feels healthier and more robust, just like I did to get my joints tighter and recover from my first pregnancy.” She wrote. “It was an explosion to find joy in training again, I missed it, my body missed it.”

Rousey also cried out at her team and thanked nutritionist Dan Garner and coaches Ricky Landell, Babyface Benoit and AJ MMA for “returning back to the cage.” Still, she kept it real about the chaos in her postpartum life.

“Please book your judgment for my messy room and mirror-painted mirror, I just have a baby and I’m too tired to clean that shit.”

This update continues with her nonsense look Unexplored On a podcast earlier this year, she closed speculation about WWE or UFC returns.

“I’m just trying to get my body back from motherhood.” She said at the time. “You literally, like – a baby is like a parasite. It’s like sucking life from you and just taking over everything.”

Rousey’s postpartum journey was not normal as her daughter was born on January 6th during a storm and fire emergency in Palisade, the Pacific Ocean. But she focuses on healing and rediscovery. It’s not a headline comeback.

Ronda Rousey may not be ready for a return to WWE or the UFC any time soon, but she obviously won another kind of battle, due to strength, health and self-identity.
