Konnan has dismissed the allegations made by Tessa Blanchard while she was working with AAA.
In an episode of the “Keepin’ IT 100” podcast, Konnan reacted to Blanchard’s assertion that he claimed she wasn’t one of “his people.”
Konnan remarked that Blanchard often portrayed herself as a victim, lacking genuine dedication to AAA. He noted that her initial presence in the company was largely due to her husband, Miguel, who wasn’t invested in AAA, which contributed to her perceived lack of commitment.
“She enjoyed playing the victim and shared her perspective with us. When she joined, it was clear that her involvement was primarily because of her husband Miguel, and that was a topic of discussion.”
Konnan emphasized that Tessa was not considered one of his people, especially when compared to wrestlers who regularly contributed and showcased their dedication. He also referenced a Madison Square Garden show, highlighting that Tessa and Taya Valkyrie were supposedly good friends.
However, Konnan expressed that Tessa should have been the one to win the title, asserting she was more talented than Taya. He likened this situation to that of Goldberg in wrestling, mentioning how challenging Tessa was to collaborate with.
“I believe she competed at Madison Square Garden and possibly faced off for a world title. It reminds me of the Goldberg situation.”
Currently, Tessa Blanchard is part of TNA Wrestling, where she is viewed as a valuable addition to the team. Regardless, Konnan firmly rebuffed her claims and clarified his stance to fans.
