Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV is set to get even more intense with the addition of two notable names from WWE and NXT.
Pete Dunn and Charlie Dempsey have officially joined the roster of skilled fighters gearing up for battle on August 2nd in Rutherford, New Jersey.
Barnett confirmed Dunn’s return after his debut alongside Timothy Thatcher in April, although Dunn’s recent TV appearances have diminished, mostly participating in WWE’s main events. He has only been seen three times since his first Bloodsport match, with his last outing scheduled for May.
Dempsey, a familiar competitor in Bloodsport, is entering his fifth event with a strong 3-1 record in this unique format. He debuted in April 2024, securing a win over Matt McKowski, and after a loss to Lois Isaacs in July, he bounced back impressively against Tracy Williams and Aoki Kiyoshi. Dempsey is well-acquainted with this fighting style and poses a significant threat.
Also making a return is Slade, a regular with GCW, who hasn’t participated in Bloodsport since his defeat to Alex Coffin in March 2022. However, Slade’s reputation for mayhem continues to grow.
