Ospreay Shouts Out Partner Alex Windsor in Thrilling Debut TV Main Event at AEW Collision

A week following her debut on “AEW Collision,” Alex Windsor returned on July 26th for another intense match. Athena managed to secure a win and retain her title, thanks to decisive moves like Powerbomb and O-face. Despite the loss, Windsor’s long-time partner, Will Ospreay, expressed immense pride in her accomplishment. Ospreay took to X to celebrate her, saying, “Absolute pride for Mrs. in her first TV main event.”

Athena’s win over Windsor marked her 30th successful defense of the ROH women’s championship, a reign that started at the 2022 ROH Final Battle. Alex Windsor, a British talent, made a strong impression in her first appearance by competing in the women’s casino gauntlet against competitors like Shri, Shirakawa, Meganbein, Athena, and others. She later defeated Taya Valkyrie in her AEW “Clash” debut. However, Athena interrupted the celebration and taunted female champion Toni Storm. Windsor then allied with Storm after Athena and Billy Stark attacked her during the aftermath of last week’s “AEW Dynamite” episode and the “Clash” main event.

Besides their in-ring careers, Windsor and Ospreay share a long-term relationship, which was highlighted last month when Ospreay proposed. As of now, there is no official announcement on their wedding plans.

Fan Take: This milestone for Alex Windsor highlights AEW’s commitment to showcasing diverse and talent-rich women’s wrestling. It not only strengthens the women’s division but also offers fresh, compelling storylines that can captivate fans and elevate the sport’s profile globally.
