Triple H Weighs In on the Buzz Surrounding Tiffany Stratton’s Charlotte Flair Remark

The new WWE and Netflix docuseries, WWE: Unreal, gives viewers an inside look at the drama unfolding behind the scenes of one of the world’s largest sports entertainment companies. Unsurprisingly, the backstage conflicts are often more intense than the action in the ring.

A significant controversy arose during the April 4 SmackDown segment featuring Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair, leading up to their WrestleMania 41 match. Stratton referenced Charlotte’s personal life, specifically her three divorces, saying, "You may be the Queen inside the ring, but outside the ring you are not the Queen of S-t."

In the episode titled "WrestleMania" from the Netflix series, the backstage response involving creative writer Ed Koskey and Triple H, WWE’s SVP, revealed that Stratton went off script. Koskey noted to Triple H that Charlotte was upset by the divorce comment, saying, "It appears that it was the divorce line that sent her off the edge. She’s upset. It was clearly not mentioned in the promotion." Triple H then instructed that Tiffany needed to apologize to Charlotte, emphasizing, "We need Tiffany to clearly understand that it’s not how we do this. So she needs to go to Charlotte and apologize, and they need to go to the same page."

Later in the episode, it’s clear there was no lingering hostility between the two. After Stratton successfully defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Flair, Charlotte praised her, saying, "Yeah, that was good. I think she has a super bright future. She’s a star." Stratton currently holds the title and is set to face Jade Cargill at SummerSlam 2025, while Charlotte is also scheduled to appear at the two-night event taking place on August 2 and 3.
