WWE’s acquisition of AAA has shaken things up behind the scenes, and according to Konnan, some performers might not make it through the transition.

In an episode of Keepin’ It 100, AAA’s booker addressed speculation surrounding WWE’s potential cuts to the internal budget of the Mexican promotion. He confirmed that they are in the evaluation phase and hinted that a roster reduction is likely once this review is complete.

“Absolutely. There are members of the roster who aren’t performing well. They will let them go. WWE assesses its assets after purchasing companies.”

Konnan mentioned he is currently analyzing everything WWE has acquired from AAA, stating that roster decisions will follow the evaluation period.

“The evaluation process is ongoing. After that, they will start implementing changes. They won’t retain the entire roster.”

This signals a new era for promotions as AAA is gearing up to launch a performance center in Mexico next year with WWE’s collaboration. WWE has also adjusted its strategy for recruiting AAA talent since the acquisition.

What are your thoughts? Should WWE revamp its AAA roster post-acquisition, or keep most of its current talent? Share in the comments below.
