Despite ongoing investigations, a judge indicated that the case was still active even though it had officially concluded.
This decision coincided with the SEC’s conclusion of its investigation into McMahon in early January, though the civil trial is still ongoing.
Meltzer also suggested that WWE might now view the legal risk as minimal. Should the case move to arbitration, anything related to Lesnar would be insignificant. Similarly, if a settlement is reached, Lesnar’s involvement likely won’t be a major concern.
