Members of the renowned Bloodline wrestling family have expressed that there is still a “long road” ahead before any of its members, including WWE, officially sign them. Zilla Fatu, son of the late Umaga and a fourth-generation wrestler, has been performing on independent circuits since his debut in July 2023.
Zilla discussed the possibility of following the footsteps of the Anoa’i family branch currently signed by WWE. In an interview with Chris Van Vriette, when asked about joining WWE, Zilla gave brief but clear responses, affirming his desire to join. However, he revealed he hasn’t yet tried out for WWE and has focused mainly on training and growing within the wrestling industry.
He described his journey as a gradual process, emphasizing the need for patience and self-discovery before he can be ready for WWE. Zilla explained he still feels inexperienced (“green”) and needs more time to develop his skills and personal brand before pursuing a WWE career. He stated that timing and fan support will play critical roles in his eventual call-up to WWE.
Recently, Zilla also welcomed his first child, naming him Eki Leo Fatu in honor of his late father. Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu, another independent wrestling standout, shared his frustrations about his WWE promotional work and credited wrestlers like Tama Tonga, Solo Sikoa, and Triple H for helping him find his voice on WWE TV.
Fan Take: This update highlights the enduring legacy and future promise of the Bloodline family in wrestling. For WWE fans, Zilla Fatu’s patient and thoughtful approach signifies a potential new era for the Bloodline, ensuring the family’s impact on the sport continues to grow authentically and powerfully.
