AEW Dynamite Results (8/13/2025): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show welcomes us as CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion MJF heads into the ring, but MJF can be interrupted by the arrival of AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page. MJF then runs down the Hangman. This includes mentions on how he lost the title when he first defended. Hangman then points out to MJF that before the story ends with him winning, if he is not there to sign or execute his contract for the world title shot, he ends with him winning before he goes home and admits he has no stomach. MJF then demands a microphone that Hangman has not touched and tells the crowd to shut up. After that, MJF says that good and evil are subjective, but “Hangman” Adam Page doesn’t matter.

MJF then hangs the fact that fans behave like he’s an indeed god. MJF says he learned from an early age that all powerful Gods are not all good and neither are hangmen. After that, MJF tells Hangman that he is not a god, he is a weak, depressed, alcoholic little boy. MJF says he has no problem being called a demon than being paraded around because he is a false idol like the Hangman. MJF says he believes he is the real thing before he says he will regain his world title and take wolf sheep clothes out of the hangman. MJF says he is going to take all the gods and crucify him. Hangman says he understands the point that MJF is trying to make, but it seems that no one understands his faults more than he does. Hangman says that some may be looking past his mistake, but he doesn’t make them own it.

Hangman says he talks about the forbidden door as if it were a match. Hangman says MJF has a contract rather than a match with him and won’t take any shots because he’s afraid. Hangman then dares to sign MJF to his contract. MJF then officially challenges Hangman to the AEW World Championship at the Door Forbidden from Frustration, but realizes what he did. Hangman then says he sees MJF at the forbidden door. Hangman’s music then hits as he leaves the ring, and MJF kicks the rope out of anger and frustration.

He then looks back at the problems between John Moxley and Derby Allyn, and hears from Moxley that anything Allyn wants is happening at the banned door. John Moxley then heads into the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Kevin Knight.

Single Match: Death Rider’s John Moxley vs. Jetspede’s “Jet” Kevin Knight

The match begins with a gust of wind by the Knight, but is cut off by Moxley, who defeated Knight on the mat before searching for the Texas Clover Leaf. The knight then breaks freely and sends Moxley outwards through the rope. Moxley then catches the knight on the outside and sends him to the barricade for a few punches before sending the knight to the announcement desk. Moxley then heads for a ring long enough to break the number of judges as a Bailey check on the Knight.

The Knight then begins to fight back before Moxley catches him for a scoop slam. The knight is only to avoid being sent to the ring step. Knight then jumps onto the apron and sends Moxley to the plant, seeking a missile dropkick, then returns to the ring. Moxley then hits the knight’s eye groove, slowing things down, but Knight sends Moxley to the elevated ramp and slams him on a dive. Knight then slams some mounted punches before Moxley breaks down. Moxley then uses the procedure to get off the ramp, and the night is released from the ramp, but sits in the apron to watch the night’s judgement check to crash into Moxley’s floor.

Knight is then able to fight back from Moxley’s grip, but Moxley returns to Knight. Both men then trade strikes until Moxley finishes the exchange to bite the knight. Knight then hits Moxley with a splash, making it the fall nearby. Knight then sends Moxley to the corner, where Moxley tries to fight back before Knight hits him with a superplex.

As the knight returns after him, Moxley reaches his feet. Moxley then hits Knight with DDT. Moxley then goes to Gotch Style Piledriver, but Knight turns around with a two count. The Knight then brings Moxley closer and returns to the near fall. The fight then spills out of the ring before Moxley returns, and Utah intervenes only to be laid out by the Knight. Knight then tries to fight back with a splash, but lands on Moxley’s lap and is trapped in an inverted triangle choke, causing the knight to faint.

Singles match winner, Death Rider John Moxley!

After the match, Mike Bailey tries to stop the attack from Death Rider, but until Derby Allyn’s music hits, the numbers game is too much for Jet Speed. Allin then heads to the ring with his body bag and skateboard. Jetspeed then receives revenge and clears the ring, except for Utah. Utah is then laid out by Allin on the skateboard. Allin then places Utah in his body bag, but Claudio Castagnoli stops him from hitting the drops of co before pulling Utah out of the bag. Castagnoli then chases after Allin, putting him in the exact same bag before exhilarating it. Castagnoli then lifts him up over his shoulder to spin the plane before dropping Allin on the mat.

Utah then returns to the ring with the chair as he opens his bag and places the chair around Allin’s neck. Osprey then pulls Castagnoli out of the ring and saves it. He then slips into the ring and lays out him with a hidden blade, avoiding the chair that Utah had photographed. Utah then leaves the ring as Moxley pulls him towards the rest of the group. Ospreay then grabs the microphone and tells Moxley that he and his friends are trying to snap Moxley’s as they try to snap their necks. Osprey then says that if he doesn’t take on Allin’s challenge to the forbidden door, he has a better idea. Ospreay says Moxley can gather his friends and he gets him and they will light out a match in steel cages. Then the crowd pops out when Ospreay’s music hits.

He then gets a video package that considers his return to AEW when Adam Copeland tries to deal with FTR, but he can’t go near them, which all leads to a match against Stokely.

Mercedes Monet then goes to the ring for the next match of the night and the crazy triangle match. Alex Windsor, Queen Aminata and Willow Nightingale then head towards the ring. Toni Storm and Athena head towards the ring to see their next match.

Trio Match: AEW TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedes Monet and Triangle of Madness (“The Toxic Spider” Thekla and Skye Blue) vs. Alex Windsor, Queen Aminata, Willow Nightlingale of Conglometer

The match begins with Skye Blue and Alex Windsor, and Blue escapes from a powerbomb attempt to hit Elbow Strike. Blue then hits the rope, but runs to Windsor’s shoulder block and creates a tag on Nightingale. Nightingale then sends blue to the opposite corner for a series of strikes, then dropping down with the lariat for fall. The tag is then created in Monet to incorporate Aminata tags. Monet then lowers Aminata before Aminata fights the swinging Full Nelson. Aminata follows it with a chocolate kiss before taking her to the corner for a tag to Windsor. Windsor then takes Monet to the mat, but is blocked from Sharpshooter’s attempts. Moné then controls the match and tags it blue.
