The search for new U.S. media rights deals for TNA Wrestling is gaining momentum. Recent reports confirm that The CW network has a legitimate interest in the promotion, and TNA is considering shifting its weekly shows to Wednesday nights.
According to Jon Alba from Takedown, SI, multiple independent sources have confirmed discussions about moving TNA to WWE-affiliated networks. Alba noted that the company is even considering scheduling its shows directly against AEW Dynamite, moving from Thursday to Wednesday.
While The CW is not confirmed as the final destination, it was highlighted that the network’s interest in TNA is genuine, and some WWE stakeholders are hopeful that TNA will join their lineup. When questioned about these talks, TNA President Carlos Silva neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, only acknowledging that negotiations are ongoing.
Silva explained that the choice of a new airing night would be based on maximizing company profits rather than competition. TNA is reportedly aiming for new media rights agreements valued between $7 million and $10 million annually, with plans to air its weekly show, Impact!, live.
