Karion Cross shared the story of how his relationship with Scarlett began and how the former NXT champion broke his own rules for love. On the podcast “The story of Brisco and Bradshaw,” Cross recalled the moment he first met Scarlett.
He said, “I met her at a wrestling show, and it was one of those moments where you lock eyes with someone and feel that something special could happen.”
Despite his usual policy against mixing work with personal relationships, Cross found himself drawn to Scarlett. He explained, “I’ve always had a rule about not getting involved with anyone at work, largely because I’ve seen it go wrong before.”
Although they initially tried to keep their distance, fate had other plans. After an encounter during an event in Mexico where Conan brought them together, their connection grew. Cross noted, “It didn’t take long before we started dating, but the best part was we became really good friends first.”
The couple got engaged in 2021 and tied the knot the following April in a ceremony held on a glacier in Alaska. While their future beyond WWE remains uncertain, their relationship appears to be as strong as ever.
