WWE SmackDown Results (9/12/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show begins with the arrival of Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, WWE women’s champion Tiffany Stratton and her opponent Jade Cargill.
Comments are then welcomed to the show, re-searching last week’s episode of SmackDown, particularly Brock Lesnar’s attacks on Return of Brock Lesnar and John Cena.
Brock Lesnar’s music hits and he moves towards the ring.
Before Brock Lesnar says anything, R Truth’s music hits and he moves towards the ring. The truth is what’s going on, and Brock tells the truth to shut up. The truth is, he tells Brock that he is going on a different route. The truth says he will become the first WWE superstar to bring Brock back to WWE. The truth is, he was scared of Brock. The truth is, he says he won’t be scared of Brock anymore. Brock says he doesn’t know who he is and tells the truth that he has a good reason to come out. The truth is that Brock has overlooked his childhood hero for the past 25 years. Brock then asks the truth about how old he is and what his name is. The truth tells Brock who he is. He then says he ended up rudely. Brock says he’s looking for John Cena. Brock asks the truth if he knows where John is tonight. The truth is that it is not.
Brock asks the truth why he is in his ring. The truth is that he is here to protect his older brother and his childhood hero. The truth corrects the block and says his name is Ronsena. Brock says he wants to make sure the truth is not clear where John is. Brock asks the truth why he is here. The truth is, he says he is here for rudeness. The truth is, John says he went crazy this year, and he makes the child cry. The truth is, Super Cena says he’s coming for the block, and he’s fueled with two drops of hustle, loyalty, respect and the child’s tears. The truth says that Cena will not run away from the beast, he will behave him. Brock then asks the truth if he is John’s brother. Brock says the truth is missing teeth. Brock then strikes the truth with an F5, his jeans tearing from behind him and laughing. Lesnar’s music is a hit, and he dances a little with his jeans ripping. Lesnar leaves the ring with a laugh.
After that, we head backwards. There, Sami Zayn means performing open tasks. Zayn says he is happy that this is his first opponent. Zayn then talks about how their paths look similar. Zayn says they’ve never met before, but will give Norfolk a hell of the match. Then we see that he is facing Ray Phoenix. Sami Zain then heads into the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Ray Phoenix.
Solo then cuts the promotion and asks if he knows what fans had to sacrifice to get that title. Solo says he has proven what he has sacrificed love, loyalty, his own flesh and blood. Solo says it’s taken out of his hand. Solo says he lost his pedigree. Solo says he lost Ura Fara. Solo says he lost the US title. Solo says there will be changes. Solo says he will lead this family and regain what he has lost. Solo says he has lived in the shadows of others for too long. Solo says it’s time for others to live in his shadow and his family tree.
WWE US Championship Match Open Challenge: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Rey Fenix
The match begins with Ray tightening the side headlock, and Sami pushes the arm drag into the arm bar and then moves to the wrist lock. Lay then goes to the turnbuckle, cinches with the wrist lock and slams the Springboard Rock takedown. Sami then sends Rei to the apron, and Rei hits the shoulder and the scissors on the springboard head to go on a suicide dive, but twists the rope as Sami moves. Sami then returns to the ring. Sami then tightens his wrist lock and hits a takedown for almost autumn. Lay then hits some chops. Rey then hits a kick into the middle and a hand springback elbow. Lay then gets a nearby fall rollup. Lay then tightens his side headlock and hits his knee in the middle. Sami then pops out of the rope and slams the clothesline for almost autumn. Sami then returns Rey to the ring, and he almost falls. Sami then hits the elbow in his back and he almost falls.
Sami then hits the tilt-hole backbreaker and welcomes the nearby autumn. Sami then crosses the armbar and bumps into the chinbar combination. Sami then thrusts an Irish whip, and Ray sends Sami to the apron. Ray then hits a springboard round kick and knocks Sami out of the apron. Lay then sets up for a twisted Pescado and he bumps into it. Ray then goes up to the top and bumps into the crossbody for the nearby fall. Ray then hits the forearm and he blocks the blue lightning bomb and falls to bring another attempt closer to the head scissors. Lay then swings on the ropes and he hits a super kick for the nearby fall. Lay then goes to the turnbuckle and misses Moons as Sami moves. Sami then sets up for Helba’s kick and misses when Rey comes out of the corner. Lay then hits a hesitant DDT to jump for the near fall.
Lay then hits the chop and places Sami on the turnbuckle. Lay then sets up for the Superplex, but Sami blocks it. Sami then slams punches and a Sunset Flip power bomb, bringing the fall nearby. Sami then goes up to the top and Rei hits a jumping uppercut. Sami then knocks Ray out of the turnbuckle and Sami goes for a move from the turnbuckle, but Ray hits a fall superkick. Ray hits a few kicks on his chest, and it’s almost autumn. Ray then goes up to the top and Sami stops him. Sami then hits several forearms and he puts Rei over his shoulder. Lay then hits the turnbuckle elbow and double stomp, hitting the nearby fall. Lay then goes to the apron and he slaps a double jump moonsaw for almost autumn.
Later, Ray lined up in the lock on the front and heads to the suppression, but Sami blocks it. Ray then blocks Sami’s attempts to suppress. Sami then blocks a super kick and misses a back suppression from the belly. Lay then goes to the hand spring movement, but Sami catches Ray and strikes a blue lightning bomb for the nearby autumn. Lay then hits the jawbreaker, but Sami responds to the turnbuckle with an explosive. Sami then sets up for the Helluva Kick. Sami then runs to the Rolling Lana for the nearby fall. Lay then hits a running kick from the rope to Sami. Lay then misses the Springboard round kick and Sami hits the explosiver into the turnbuckle. Sami then sets up the Helluva Kick and hits for the victory.

After that, we head backwards. There, you can see B-fab on the phone until Kiana James and Julia stop by and talk about what happened to the sewing machine. B-FAB says they jumped over the sewing machine, but she said she was busy with street profits. B-fab says she’s not busy right now. Kiana says she wants to know why she is talking to her client. Julia then offers her tonight’s match.
Wyatt Sids suspends the feed. Beau Dallas asks where the profits go from here. Beau is in Paris, we tried you, we tested you, you failed. Bo says you are at war with the flesh, not at war with the Principality. Eric Rowan says it’s painful to see things torn in the seams. Then Rowan says you don’t understand what you have until it’s gone. Rowan says there are tough choices ahead of you. Bo says they are not responsible. Bo says that they will sow the seeds afterwards. Bo says where will the profits go from here? Bo says follow Buzzards.
Julia and Kiana James head towards the ring for the next night’s match, followed by a B-fab.
Non-title match: WWE Women’s US Champion “The Beautiful Madness” Giulia vs. B-Fab
The match begins with B-FAB dropping Kiana onto the top rope. Julia then kicks the B-fab out of the apron. Julia then sends the B-fab to the ringside barrier several times. Julia then sends the B-fab back into the ring, and Kiana kicks the B-fab and hugs her for a running kick. Julia then sets up for curb stomp and sewing machine music to hit. Kiana confronts her, but the sewing machine hits Kiana several times with the kendo stick. The sewing machine misses Julia and she goes to the floor. Julia leaves.
Any matches other than the title will end in no contest!
We then see Drew McIntyre working at the gym while preparing for Randy Orton.
Next, we see Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill walking across the split screen.
It will then be announced that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Riyadh in 2027.
Aleister Black cuts the promotion and says he had him with his poison after tricking Damian’s priest into putting his heels in your chin. Black then tells the priest he is sick and pure. Black says that the priest can continue to fight by his code and he can get sick. Black says that if you can show how destructive you are, the outcome is yours. Black says he can die with that code. Black says violence against violence and he will become your prophet.
Jade Cargill then heads into the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Tiffany Stratton.
WWE Women’s Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Jade Cargill
The match begins with Jade seeking big boots, but Stratton gets out of the way. Stratton then goes to Hiptos, but Jade stops her. Jade then sends Stratton to the rope, but Stratton hits a dropkick. Stratton then seeks an acrobatic back elbow, but Jade catches her. Jade then lifts Stratton, who lands on her feet. Jade then hits a power slam. Jade then goes to the cover, but Stratton kicks him out. Jade then seeks a suppression, but Stratton slaps Jade with a knee on his face. Stratton then goes to the cover, but Jade kicks him out. Jade then runs towards Stratton, keeping him out of the way. Jade then falls outside. Stratton then slams a splash on the top rope on Jade, which is on the outside of the ring.
Jade then hits a fall-away slam. Tiffany is in the corner and Jade goes to the elbow on his back, but Tiffany moves out of the way and slams the buster on his spine. Tiffany then bumps into the clothesline, but Jade is still up. Tiffany then runs towards Jade, but Jade goes to Powerbomb and Tiffany hits Hurricane Lana. Tiffany then slaps his acrobatic elbow in the face and chases it with a dropkick. Tiffany then climbs onto the top rope and hits a Swanton bomb. She then goes to the cover, but Jade kicks out. Tiffany then grabs Jade, but Jade hits a super kick and Tiffany goes outside. Jade is in the ring apron, but Tiffany trips her up.
Tiffany then enters the ring and goes on a baseball slide, but Jade keeps him out of the way. Jade then lifts up Tiffany and first hits her face against the ring apron. She then sends Tiffany back into the ring. Jade then goes for the kick, but Tiffany moves out of the way. Tiffany slams Jade. She then goes to Moonsaw, the cleanest ever, but Jade trips her. Jade lifts Tiffany up and slams him onto the mat. She then goes to the cover, but Tiffany kicks him out.
Jade then goes to Chokeslam, but Tiffany rolls her into a pin, and Jade kicks out. Tiffany then hits Alabama Slam. She then climbs onto the top rope and heads to Moonsaw, the cleanest ever, but Jade keeps him out of the way. Tiffany landed on her leg and Jade hit a jump kick to the face. Both women then smash their forearms into the face, Jade wants a kick, but Tiffany keeps out of the way and Jade is in the ring apron. Jade lifts Tiffany up onto the ring apron. Both women then bump into their right hand. Jade then seeks a spear, but Tiffany keeps out of the way, and Jade hits the shoulder of the ring post first. Tiffany then hits a dropkick and Jade falls outside the ring. Tiffany then climbs up the top rope to go to Moonsalt, but Jade gets in the way when Tiffany reaches the feet and the floor. Jade then picks up Tiffany and slams him through the barricade into the timekeeper’s area. The judges are then counted to ten, with both women counting as Belling.
The WWE Women’s Championship Match ends with no contest due to a double countout!
After the match, Nia Jacks goes her way and sends Jade to the ringstep. Jax then hits a Samoa drop outside the ring. Jacks grabs Tiffany and sends her into the ring. Jacks lifts Tiffany up and slams him onto the mat. Jax then hits Annihilator.
After that, we head backwards. There, Chelsea Green is with the secret Hervice. Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis came out of his office. Chelsea asks about the tag team title match. Aldis tells her that Charlotte was injured. Chelsea then tells him that if he doesn’t do what he wants, the locker room will know what she is. Aldis then tells her that the tag’s title will be defended next week and could face a winner. Chelsea are happy with it when Aldis leaves. He is then stopped by Miz and Aldis says that Carmelo told him about the title match. After that, Aldis leaves.
Then get a video package to watch John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar from Wrestlepalooza. Then you get another video package to watch 2000 OVW. Then we’ll see the early days of Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena on the main roster in 2002.
Next, we’ll look at John Cena’s transition to Dr. Tuganomics in a video package. The build to John Cena then won the US title at WrestleMania 20, and Brock left the company.
We then see Vero Rodriguez interviewing Rey Mysterio. Ray talks about the AAA Mega Championship match, with Dominic Mysterio appearing. Dominique says he will be the first Mysterio to become an AAA Mega Champion. Dominic says after winning, Ray can come out and raise his hand and place the title around his hips. Ray says if Dominique wins, he will do it. Finn Baller then appears and says that the best way to show him that he is the best Lukador is to win the title alone.
We then see Kathy Kelly interviewing Sami Zain. Sami says Ray Phoenix is a future star and can’t say good enough. After that, Carmelo Hayes appears and says he doesn’t always get along well, but Sami gives him the opportunity, so he has the next one. Sami then tells Hayes not to overlook it. Hayes then turns around and Miz is there. Miz then states that he heard Nick Ardis talk to him about the title match. Miz was shocked to see Hayes win the US title. Miz then tells Hayes that he is here to lead him to the title of the tag. Hayes says he can lead him to the US title and win the title of the tag.
Drew McIntyre then heads into the ring for the night’s main event, followed by Randy Orton.
Single Match: “Scottish Psychopath” Drew McIntyre vs. “The Viper” Randy Orton
The match will lock up with both men and Drew follow it with a kick and punch. Drew then sends Randy to the turnbuckle, and Drew hits an Irish whip. Randy then slams the clothesline from the corner. Randy then goes to the turnbuckle and punches Drew. Randy then drew a clothesline on the floor. Drew then takes some time to return to the ring. Randy then punches Drew, and Drew hits the elbow in his back for the nearby fall. Drew then asks for a double wrist lock. Drew pulls Randy onto the mat and paints the armbar. Randy then hits a few punches. Drew hits the headbutt. Randy then smashes several thumbs into his eyes, pulling a punch that Randy and Randy go to the floor. Drew then follows, and Randy avoids being sent to the announcement desk.
Randy then places another thumb in his eye and he sends Drew to the ringside wall. Randy then hits the European uppercut and they return to the ring. Drew screams Randy’s eyes. Randy then hits a suppression and some stomping. Randy then hits a bouncing off his knee, but Randy struggles to get back to his feet. Drew then kicks Randy with his knee and clips the Drew clip into Randy’s leg. Drew then slams the running back’s elbow into the corner. Drew then tries to hyper-damp Randy’s knee. Drew then continues working on Randy and Cinch’s lap, in the locks of four legs.
Randy then rolls over and tries to reverse the hold, and Randy gets over it. Drew then reaches the ropes and forces him to rest. Both men then trade punches and Randy hits a back suppression from the belly. Randy then goes to the floor and sends Drew’s head to the announcement desk. Randy then sets up on the table for a backdrop driver, but Drew paints Randy’s eyes. Drew then slams the backdrop driver into the announcement desk and clips Randy again. Drew then returns to the ring and breaks the count. The judge then continues to rely on Randy. Randy then hits the count back into the ring. Drew then drops his elbows into his leg. Drew cinches in another figure 4. Drew places his legs on the rope and Drew stands on his leg and falls onto his lap.
Randy and Drew exchange punches. Drew hits a kick and he slams Randy onto the ropes. Randy then goes to the floor, climbs the aisle and returns to her feet. Drew punches when Randy returns to the ring. Randy then hits his thumb and sends Drew to the turnbuckle. Randy then hits the European uppercut. Drew then whips Hard Irish. Drew then sets up for Figure 4, but Randy Kick drew on the top rope and floor. Drew then returns and he covers the clothesline as Randy hits two clotheslines Ronnaines. Randy then sends Drew to the apron and drops Drew Drop Randy onto the top rope. Drew is charged with Randy, and Randy hits a power slam. Drew goes to the apron and Randy sets up for the drape DDT, but Drew escapes. Randy then goes to the floor and he slams the backdrop driver into the announcement desk.
Randy then hits another backdrop driver. They then return to the ring and Drew bumps into Claymore, but Randy goes to the floor. Drew then sends Randy back into the ring, but Randy hits RKO, and Drew Rolls rolls into the apron and falls to the floor. Drew pushes Randy into the apron and brings Randy back into the ring. Randy then kicks Drew as he returns to the ring, and Randy hits a drape DDT. Randy is bleeding from his forehead and he sees Drew bent in the ring. Randy then backs up and the judge stops him. Randy then has some words to the judge and he misses the kick. Drew pushes Randy into the referee, and Randy stops short. Drew then hits Claymore for the victory.

After the match, Drew sets up for another Claymore through the announcement desk, but Cody Rhodes’ music hits and he chases after Drew. Cody then hits a few punches and a cody cutter. Cody then takes the microphone and he tells Drew that it will be the two of Wrestle Palooza. Cody then gets taller and the show approaches its end.
