WWE SmackDown Results (10/24/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show begins with a shot of Mallett Arena. We then get a video package recapping last week’s Smackdown episode.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is then seen walking through the backstage area and is stopped by Jimmy Uso. Jimmy thanks Cody for what he did for his cousin last week. Jimmy says he has to tell Nick Aldis about what happened to Jacob Fatu. Cody then asks Jimmy if things are going well with Jay. Jimmy then says he saw what happened and asks how he feels. Cody then says he understands, he has a brother in the game and he’s going to do what’s best for him. Jimmy tells Cody he will talk to Nick Aldis and Cody says he will talk to the people.

Cody Rhodes’ music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Cody then performs in front of the audience and receives their praise. Cody then begins by asking Tempe what she wants to talk about. Cody then says they can discuss his opponent, Drew McIntyre, next Saturday. Cody then says that he felt like it was a bit of a waste of money because he did something that was not typical of him. Cody then grabbed the title belt and hit Drew in the head with it. Cody wonders if he needs to apologize for that.

Drew McIntyre then intervened and said he didn’t need Cody’s apology or excuse. McIntyre then asks the people of Arizona if they want to cheer or boo Cody. McIntyre then points to all the evidence you’ve seen and says you’re going to root for Cody and you’re going to boo. McIntyre then says that at this point you are all complicit in his crime. Then McIntyre says that’s not the case. McIntyre then says that they have been brainwashed by Cody Corp’s propaganda. McIntyre then says that no matter what you do, they will continue to support you. McIntyre then claimed that Cody was messed up by the judges at Wrestlepalooza. McIntyre then says they’re still rooting for you guys even though Cody took the title belt last week.

McIntyre then says he has failed so many times that this is the end of the story. And McIntyre says he’ll finish it off in Saturday night’s main event. McIntyre then wants to talk about the person who attacked Jacob Fatu. McIntyre then says it’s always him because he’s the scapegoat. McIntyre then says that although he hates his family, it wasn’t him. McIntyre then says what about Jimmy, the black sheep of the family. McIntyre then tells his brother that he has another title match. McIntyre then says he may be taking a page out of his wife’s strategy. Cody says that’s enough. And Cody said, you want a fight, so let’s do it right here, right now. Drew then gets off the announce desk and Jimmy hits him from behind through the ringside railing. Jimmy then punches Drew and shoves him into the announce desk. Drew and Jimmy are then held back. After escaping from the guards, Jimmy attempts suicide by jumping. Cody tries to calm Jimmy down.

We then head to the back where Drew tells Nick Aldis that if he thought he was guilty he would never have put him in the title match. Jimmy then attacks Drew again and the guards do their best to separate them.

Solo Chicoa’s music then hits and he heads to the ring for his first match of the night against Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Tara Tonga and JC Mateo. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Fenix ​​then come down to the ring.

Tag match: Shinsuke Nakamura & Rey Fenix ​​vs. MFT (Tama Tonga & JC Mateo)

Nakamura then hits a knee to the middle, tags in Rey, and chops Mateo. Rey then hits a kick against the ropes and Tama takes care of him while the referee deals with Nakamura and Mateo. Mateo then gets a fishing hook and rubs Rey’s face into the mat. Tama tags in there and Tama hits a clothesline. Tama then nearly falls over. Rey then hits a chop and Tama hits a punch. Tama then hits a suplex and Mateo tags in. Mateo kicks Rey and kicks him in the back against the turnbuckle. Rey then hits a chop, but Mateo returns fire and regains control. Mateo then hits a headbutt and an Irish whip. Tama then tags in and hits a splash.

Tama then prevents Rei from making the tag. Rei hits a series of punches and headbutts, but Tama endures. Tama then hits an Irish whip and a clothesline. Mateo also tags in and hits the Wrist Clutch Pump Handle Exploder for a near fall. Mateo then finishes with a Nerve Hold. Mateo then puts him in a waistlock and Rey hits an elbow, but Mateo hits a forearm. Rey then stands up and hits an enzuigiri on a belly-to-back suplex attempt. Nakamura also tags in and hits a flying boot on Mateo, knocking Tama off the apron. Nakamura then hits a series of chest kicks, Mateo blocks the kicks, but Nakamura hits an enzuigiri. Nakamura then puts Mateo on the turnbuckle and hits a running knee for a near fall.

Nakamura goes for a reverse exploder, but Mateo responds with a series of elbows. Furthermore, Nakamura hits a boot and a knee. Mateo then hits a spinning belly to back suplex. Tama then tags in and hits a splash in the corner. Nakamura then hits a boot, followed by Rei. Rey hits a kick to Tama from the apron and Nakamura hits a kick to the back. Rey then hits a moonsault for a near fall. Tama catches Rei with a rolling move, but Rei escapes. Tama then misses a boot and Rey hits a backheel kick, then hits a running kick into the ropes. Rey then goes up top and hits a crossbody for a nearfall. Nakamura then throws Mateo to the floor and knocks Roa off the apron. Tama then punches Nakamura from behind, knocking him to the floor. Rei then collapses and Tama falls to the floor. Rey then hits a twisting crossbody on Tama and Roa. Tara is then able to stop the springboard move as Solo goes up to the apron and Tara hits a chokeslam to Rey on the apron. Tama then hits a running back elbow for the win.

The winner of the tag team match is MFT (Tama Tonga & JC Mateo)!

Nick Aldis is then seen talking to Jimmy Uso and he says this can’t happen anymore. Jimmy then says that everyone knows that Drew attacked Fatu. Jimmy then said he was done with Jay. Nick then says he can play tonight. Then Jimmy says he wants to pick a fight. Nick then says they will have a no disqualification match tonight.

Julia is then seen making a phone call, and Chelsea Green and Alba Fire appear, asking where Kiana James is. After that, Green says they are talking about merging the brands. Green then reminded Julia that she was the first and longest champion. Kiana shows up and says there’s no Discount Diva on the calendar. Kiana then says that Julia has been booked for a while and mentions her match with Tiffany Stratton.

Tiffany Stratton then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Kiana James and Julia.

Non-title match: WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton vs. Kiana James

The match begins with Tiffany in an armbar, but James acrobatically breaks out of it. James then locks in an armbar, but Tiffany acrobatically escapes from the armbar and slams James to the mat. James goes for a clothesline but Tiffany ducks and locks in an armdrag armbar. James gets out of there and James hits a kick. She sends Tiffany into the ropes again, but Tiffany hits a dropkick. James then falls to the second rope and Tiffany hits a hip attack. James then falls outside the ring. Tiffany then goes for a baseball slide, but James moves out of the way and hits her with an elbow. James then gets on the ring apron and goes for a moonsault, but Tiffany moves out of the way, James lands on her feet, and Tiffany hits a clothesline. Julia then distracts Tiffany and James sends Tiffany into the barricade.

James then brings Tiffany back into the ring, but Tiffany gets a near fall. James then hits a kick to the midsection. James then strangles Tiffany with the ropes. James then kicks Tiffany into the corner. James then pushes Tiffany to the floor and Julia kicks Tiffany while James draws the referee’s attention from what is happening outside the ring. James then sends Tiffany back into the ring for a near fall. Tiffany then hits a punch, but James hits a forearm and a punch. James then gets a near fall and applies a reverse chinlock. James then sends Tiffany into the mat by the hair. James then hits a shoulder in the corner. James then hits a running shoulder into the corner. James then slams a running boot into his temple for a near fall. James then throws a punch.

Both women then grab each other by the hair and knock each other down. Both women then exchange forearms and Tiffany takes over. Tiffany then hits a clothesline and a handspring back elbow in the corner. Tiffany then hits a cartwheel for the Alabama Slam. After the match, Julia gets in the ring and hits Tiffany from behind. Jade Cargill’s music then plays and Jade makes her way down to the ring. Julia then goes for a right, but Cargill hits a kick to the face and follows up with a jumping kick. James then goes up to the ring apron, but Jade hits a right hand. Julia and James then walk to the back. Jade then reaches out to Tiffany on the mat. She then helps Tiffany to her feet and raises Tiffany’s arm in the air. When Jade tried to leave, she hit Tiffany with a clothesline. She then sends Tiffany into the corner and starts kicking her. She then sends Tiffany into the ring post and out of the ring. Jade then sends Tiffany into the ring steps. She then sends Tiffany to the announce desk. Jade then hits a kick and a right hand. WWE officials are then called in to try to defuse the situation.

Next, we look back at Ilya Dragunov, who returned and became the new United States Champion.

We then see Sami Zayn congratulating Ilya Dragunov in the hallway. Ilya said that he has a lot of respect for Sami and will continue to take on open challenges. Sami then tells Elijah that these challenges are no joke. Sami then said John Cena started them and I took over. Sami then says that you have to go to war every week and have a goal in mind every week. Sami then says he needs to be in the ring every week. Ilya then thanks Sami and leaves.

Jade Cargill was then seen walking through the backstage area and she was stopped by Kathy Kelly. Cassie asks Jade if she’s worried about the outcome. Jade then says that she’s not looking for power, but that she’s going to take it from the WWE Women’s Championship.

After that, Ilya Dragunov goes down to the ring and says that he missed everyone. And while Ilya said he had many highs during his recovery, there were also some very devastating lows. Then Elijah says in places that he couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Elijah then says that one thing you know about him is that he never gives up. Then Elijah says, because of the obsession in his heart, that he is your champion of America. Then Ilya says where he comes from, when you do one thing, you do all things. Aleister Black’s music then plays and he makes his way down to the ring to answer an open challenge for his next match of the night, a match against Zelina Vega.

WWE United States Championship Open Challenge Match: “Mad Dragon” Ilya Dragunov (c) vs. Aleister Black

The match starts with both men locked up, Black drives Elijah into the ropes, and on the break Black kicks Elijah away. Elijah then hits a series of chops, but Black escapes a slam and hits Elijah with a kick. Elijah then blocks a kick and Elijah hits a chop. Ilya then hits a knee. Elijah then goes for the Constantine Special, but Black kicks him into the ropes and knocks Elijah to the floor. Zelina then hits a headscissors that sends Elijah into the ringside barrier while Black distracts the referee. Black then kicks Elijah. Black then goes to the floor and punches Elijah. Black then punched Elijah for a near fall. Black then tightens up some crossfaces. Black then hits some forearms and Elijah fights back. Black then hits a forearm and hits Elijah with an Irish whip. Elijah then goes for a knee, but Black blocks it and hits a flying knee in the corner for a near fall. Black then hits a kick for a near fall. Black then chokes Elijah against the ropes. Zelina then gets on the apron, the referee is out of position, and Black pulls Elijah off the turnbuckle, causing his head to hit the turnbuckle. Black then hits a knee off the turnbuckle. Black then hits a back body drop, but Elijah survives and attempts a sunset flip. Black then escapes and Elijah blocks the kick. Illya then hits a chop and powerbomb. Illya then goes for the H-bomb, but Black gets to his knees. Black then hits a corner kick. Black then hits a European uppercut and a corner kick. Black then puts Elijah into the turnbuckles. Black then goes for a superplex, but Elijah blocks him with a punch. Elijah then hits a few headbutts and Black goes to the mat. Black then hits a kick and Black goes back into the turnbuckle. He then sends Black to the mat and Elijah hits a missile dropkick, but Elijah holds him by the neck.

Ilya then goes up top and sets up a back senton for a nearfall. After that, Illya tries a Torpedo Moscow, but Black hits a knee kick and a brainbuster for a near fall. Black then misses Black Mass and attacks the modified torpedo Moscow. Ilya then sets off a hydrogen bomb, but Zelina trips Ilya, leaving the referee wondering what is going on. Black then punched Elijah from behind and the referee sent Zelina to the back, but Black was not disqualified. Damian Priest’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Priest then removes his sunglasses, revealing the remains of the fireball. Black then turns around and wins Torpedo Moscow.

After the match, Priest enters the ring and punches Black. Priest then sends Black to the floor and Priest kicks Black into the announce desk. Priest then hits a flurry of punches and gets a few chairs. Black then tries to climb over the ringside barrier, but Priest stops him and puts Black on the announce desk. He then puts a chair under Black’s head, but Vega rakes the eye. Vega then leads Black through the crowd to safety.

Next, let’s look at what happened last week with Carmelo Hayes and The Miz. Then we have Kathy Kelly and Carmelo Hayes. Kathy asks what is causing these problems. Hayes says he doesn’t blame Miz. Jimmy then hits punches and chops. Drew then taps his thumb in the eye.

Drew then goes for a suplex on the floor, but Jimmy blocks it and hits a suplex of his own. Jimmy then sends Drew over the ringside barrier and back to the ringside area. Jimmy. Then go under the ring and pull out the table. Jimmy then puts the table in the ring. Drew then hits a forearm to the back of the head. Drew then sends Jimmy into the ringside barrier. Drew then wakes Jimmy up and Jimmy stands up. Jimmy then hits a Dragon Whip and Drew falls to the floor. Jimmy then rides the ringside barrier and is caught by Drew, who hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Drew then returns to the floor and enters the timekeeper’s area for a chair. Drew then punched Jimmy in the ribs and back. Drew then sets up a chair in the ring and slams Jimmy’s head into the chair. Drew then tells Jimmy that he is innocent and that Jimmy chose this. Drew then makes Jimmy sit on a chair and Drew punches Jimmy. Drew then goes for a Claymore, but Jimmy stands up and slams Drew into a chair with a drop toe hold.

After the match, Drew grabbed a chair and began choking Jimmy Uso with it. WWE officials then come out and try to break it up. Then Cody’s music came on and he ran down to the ring. He then hits Drew with a few right hands and a kick. He then sent Drew out of bounds, over the barricade and into the timekeeper area. Cody then returns to the ring to check on Jimmy. Drew then returns to the ring as Cody turns around and Drew hits Cody with a Claymore Kick. Drew then stands in the ring as SmackDown ends.
