WWE Saturday Night Main Event Results (11/1/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show begins with a Michael Cole meet and greet, followed by a split screen showing Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and his opponent Drew McIntyre arriving at the arena. WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and her opponent Jade Cargill are also seen arriving at the Delta Center in a split screen. Penta, WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, and Rusev are also pictured entering the arena. CM Punk and Jey Uso are also shown in a split screen as they arrive at the arena.

Next, we get a video package that looks back at WWE Saturday Night Main Event history and pyro shots from the stage.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes then made his way down to the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Drew McIntyre.

Lilian Garcia then begins to make ring announcements, but McIntyre stops her and tells her to announce him as “The Real American Dream”, which she does.

Undisputed WWE Championship Match (Champion may change if Cody is disqualified or counted out): “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes (c) vs. “Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre

The match starts with Drew in a waistlock and Cody getting a standing switch. Drew then hits a back elbow and knee to the midsection. Cody then hits Drew in the corner with a flurry of punches and kicks. Drew then hits a double punch to the throat followed by a chop. Cody then chops back and they both continue to exchange. Cody then hits a delayed Gourd Buster and Drew goes to the floor. Drew then told Cody to come to the ring. Cody then goes to the apron but returns to the ring so he can’t be forced into a countout. Drew then tries to send Cody to the referee, but Cody stops short. Both men then lock up and Drew hits some forearms to the face. Both men then go for a test of strength, with Drew landing kicks and punches. Drew also hits a series of chops and punches. Drew then bites his forehead.

Drew then hits a chop and Cody hits a dropdown punch and more punches on Drew. Cody then went for a kick that dragged Cody out of the corner, but the referee was knocked aside and the DQ didn’t result. Drew then hits a knee kick. Drew then sends Cody shoulder-first into the ring post on the apron and Cody falls to the floor. Drew then sends Cody over the ringside barrier and Drew returns to the ring for the referee to start the count. Cody is able to beat the count. Drew then throws a flurry of punches and stomps on the head. Drew then hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall.

Drew then nails a cravate and hits a double back elbow for a near fall. Cody then throws punches at Drew, but Drew hits an Irish whip and a back body drop for a near fall. Drew holds the midsection and goes up to the apron to the top. Cody hits a forearm to stop Drew. Cody then went to the turnbuckle for a superplex and he hit it. Cody then throws a punch. Cody then hits a powerslam. Cody then goes for a disaster kick, but he hits it. Drew then blocks a Cody cutter, but Cody is able to adjust in mid-air and hit a twist for a near fall. Cody then hits some jabs and rolls up for a bionic elbow. Drew then hits a spinebuster for a nearfall. Drew then hits a sitout powerbomb for a near fall. Drew then goes to the floor and takes the title belt and brings it into the ring. Cody then snatches the belt and throws it to the referee, and Drew hits a jumping boot for a near fall.

Cody then falls to the floor and Drew goes after Cody, setting up the Claymore for the announce desk, but Cody hits him with a punch to the midsection. Drew then sent Cody to the apron, Drew hit his shoulder and Cody was sent off the apron and into the announce desk. The referee then begins the count. Cody then beats the count and returns to the ring. Drew then gears up for the Claymore and does a countdown. Cody then goes down to avoid the claymore. Cody then blocks the Future Shock DDT. Cody’s knee then gave way in the corner and the referee took a look and held Drew back. Then Cody hits a double jump Cody Cutter for a near fall.

Cody then goes for the Crossroads, but Drew hits a kick. Cody then went for it again, but Drew backed Cody into the referee, who went down. Then Drew hits a headbutt. Drew then gets the belt again, but he misses Cody. Cody and Drew then both go for a crossbody press at the same time and they both go down. Drew then grabs the belt and Cody hits a DDT on the belt, but Cody picks it up and slams it to the floor. Cody then set up the Crossroads and hit it for the win.

The winner and still the undisputed WWE Champion, “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes!

We then headed to the backside where we saw CM Punk warming up for tonight’s huge World Heavyweight Championship match.

Then we go back to ringside to find Michael Cole and Wade Barrett sitting among the debris of a table and we get a video package for the WWE Women’s Championship match.

We then head to the backside and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is stretching her injured knee by Jade Cargill. Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis then approached her and gave her the opportunity to stop the match, but she refused.

Jade Cargill then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Tiffany Stratton.

WWE Women’s Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill

The match starts with Tiffany hitting a forearm, but Jade shoves her to the mat. Jade then picks Tiffany up and sends her to the mat where Tiffany gets on her knees. Jade then hits a kick to the leg. Jade then goes for a chokeslam. Jade then goes for a pump handle gourd buster but gets a near fall. Jade then gets a beer, misses her shoulder in the corner and crashes into the turnbuckle. Tiffany then goes for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but Tiffany’s knees give way. Jade then places Tiffany in the Tree of Woe, where she kicks Tiffany and strangles her from the floor. Jade then carries Tiffany on her shoulders, puts her on the floor, and hits a hotshot on the apron.

Jade then beats the count and returns to the floor, sending Tiffany into the ring steps. Jade then goes for the boot but Tiffany goes for a low bridge and sends Jade face first into the steps. Tiffany then goes to the top and Jade stops her. Tiffany then sends Jade face-first into the mat and Tiffany hits a swanton for a nearfall. Jade then hits a clothesline, shoulders Tiffany and hits the Eye of the Storm for a near fall. Jade then hits a fallaway slam and then a second one. Jade then hits her third one for a near fall. Jade then hits a sitout powerbomb for a near fall. Jade then hits another powerbomb, followed by a third. Jade then stands over Tiffany and she lifts Tiffany onto Jaded and she emerges victorious.

The winner is the new WWE Women’s Champion, Jade Cargill!

After the match, Cargill, who suffered a cut on his left eyebrow, celebrates his victory.

Next, we get a video package for WWE WrestleMania 42, which returns to Las Vegas in 2026.

It was then announced that the first Saturday Night Main Event of 2026 will be held on January 24th in Montreal.
