AEW Full Gear 2025 Expands with Exciting New Matchups

2 Min Read

With only a few days remaining until AEW Full Gear 2025, several new matches have been added to the card. On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley and the Death Riders aimed to recover from their recent defeat to Blood & Guts. In a tag team match, Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli faced The Conglomeration’s Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy. Despite Moxley’s shaken confidence after submitting to Kyle O’Reilly last week, a timely interference from Yuta Wheeler turned the tide. Castagnoli neutralized Cassidy with a pop-up uppercut, allowing Moxley to finish with a bulldog choke for the win.

After the match, Kyle O’Reilly saved Cassidy and locked Moxley in an ankle lock, nearly forcing him to submit again despite desperate efforts from the Death Riders. Following the confrontation, The Conglomeration members challenged Moxley to a No Holds Barred match at Full Gear, with O’Reilly eager to make Moxley tap out once more. While this match is not officially confirmed, another bout was announced by Tony Khan on Dynamite. Renee Paquette revealed that the four semifinalists of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament will compete in a four-corner tag team match at Full Gear, with the winner deciding the terms of their semifinal match.

Tonight’s semi-finalists include Timeless Lovebombs (Tony Storm & Mina Shirakawa), Marina Shafir & Megan Bain, Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Sky Blue), and Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron). Additionally, after Kazuchika Okada bested Mascara Dorada on AEW Collision, Don Callis announced that "The Rainmaker" will team up with Hexero and the returning Konosuke Takeshita to challenge El Sky Team for the CMLL Trios Championship at the AEW Full Gear Tailgate Brawl this Saturday.
