I found myself reflecting on this during "WWE Raw" and again tonight, and it’s left me quite puzzled. The situation surrounding Survivor Series and the WarGames matches is unclear, and neither show this week provided any clarity. The only definitive information we have involves the men’s match, which prominently features Paul Heyman of The Vision, along with Bron Breaker and Bronson Reed on the promotional material. I presume these "Bros" are significant players on the Heel WarGames team, yet I’m uncertain about who will join them.
The team compositions and potential alliances on either show remain murky, and their roles in "SmackDown" seem even less defined. There was some chatter online suggesting that the four members of Wyatt Six might take on MFT, but the storyline has evolved into a brawl across the entire tag team division, even as Wyatt ominously lurks around MFT. These teams have faced off multiple times in the ring. Additionally, former United States Champion Sami Zayn is entangled in a feud with Solo Sikoa, which could lead him to ally with Wyatt to balance the odds against MFT. Yet, characters like the Motor City Machine Guns, Rey Fenix, and Shinsuke Nakamura are also part of this unfolding narrative or the surrounding chaos.
As for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, he doesn’t appear to have any plans to compete. It seems likely he will face Drew McIntyre again at a premium live event, potentially teaming with Damian Priest against McIntyre and Aleister Black. With Survivor Series just over three weeks away, we still lack clarity on the men’s WarGames team. Hopefully, WWE will provide some direction on Monday, though it seems most of the attention will be on the "Last Time is Now" tournament instead.
The situation for the women’s team is also uncertain, especially following Rhea Ripley’s injury, and it’s unclear if the women’s team from "SmackDown" will participate at all. It feels like WWE is taking a gamble with this year’s Survivor Series, which doesn’t bode well for an event traditionally rated among the least exciting of the "Big Four."
Editorial Opinion: This uncertainty surrounding team lineups and story arcs could lead to a lackluster Survivor Series, leaving fans craving more coherent storylines. For wrestling fans, this could signify a larger issue with WWE’s pacing and buildup, potentially impacting viewer engagement in the long run.
