The November 4 episode of WWE NXT didn’t go well for Ethan Page and Chelsea Green, who were looking forward to celebrating their recent victories. The duo claimed the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship at the AAA Day of the Dead event, dethroning Mr. Iguana and La Hiedra, who had held the title for nearly a year.
Their planned celebration at WWE NXT, complete with a large cake in the ring, was abruptly interrupted by Joe Hendry, who playfully mocked his partner, Thea Hale. Hale, a Chase University graduate, then splattered cream all over the new champion, leading her and Hendry to a match against Page and Fire that concluded in an entertaining fashion.
Backstage, both Green and Page fumed over the incident. Green expressed her outrage, saying she had never faced such disrespect before.
"It’s revolting! It’s revolting! I was disrespected in Monterrey, and tonight was no different! I’ve never been insulted like this!"
Page echoed her frustration, stating that he had never been subjected to such accusations. The double champion, who is on the verge of securing a third title, added, "I just wanted to enjoy my cake!" before declaring the situation “BS!”
Though frustrated by their setbacks with Hale and Hendry, Page and Green will soon get their chance for revenge. It has been announced that they will compete for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship at the upcoming NXT Gold Rush event, set to take place in two weeks. After their recent embarrassment, Green and Page will need to ensure that Hendry and Hale don’t seize the moment again when the championship is on the line.
WWE NXT Gold Rush is scheduled to air from the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 18 and 25, 2025.
Fan Take: This news is significant for NXT fans as it heightens the anticipation for the championship clash at Gold Rush, showcasing the drama and rivalries that make wrestling so captivating. The outcome may shape the careers of Page and Green while also adding a layer of intrigue to the ongoing narratives in the division.
