WWE’s Real-Life Sibling Duo Reunites for an Epic Tag Team Comeback

Two real-life brothers and WWE superstars will team up in the ring for their first match since joining WWE. Earlier this year, Penta and Rey Fenix signed with WWE after departing AEW. Initially, they were expected to debut together as a tag team, but since Penta’s AEW contract ended first, he debuted in January while Fenix was still contracted to AEW. By April, Fenix was cleared to join WWE but had yet to reunite with Penta.

This changed at the AAA Alianzas event in Mexico City. In the main event, Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano defeated Dragon Lee and El Hijo del Vivogogo after a dramatic turn of events where El Hijo del Vivogogo attacked Lee and was subsequently eliminated. Post-match, a promo was interrupted by a video showcasing Penta and Rey Fenix arriving to challenge Mysterio and Americano for their upcoming bout at the AAA Guerra de Titanes event on December 20th in Guadalajara.

Before signing with WWE, Penta and Fenix were decorated tag team champions across several promotions, including AEW, TNA, AAA, MLW, and ROH, highlighting their chemistry and success as a duo.

Fan Take: This reunion is exciting for WWE fans because it brings a proven, dynamic tag team into the spotlight, promising thrilling matches and revitalizing the tag team division. Their crossover success in multiple promotions also adds star power, potentially elevating WWE’s tag team wrestling standards and storylines.
