On November 28, WWE SmackDown held a match at the Bell Arena in Denver, Colorado. Despite the night likely being planned around Thanksgiving, it delivered an exciting show.
The “Last Time is Now” tournament carried on with more bouts leading up to John Cena’s final match. This week’s SmackDown kicked off with Jey Uso facing Rusev. The two wrestlers put on a strong performance that even extended through the commercial break, with Jey Uso ultimately winning the main event using a Uso Splash.
LA Knight was set to compete against Sheamus, but Sheamus was pulled from the match. Interestingly, The Miz secured Sheamus’s spot in the tournament but didn’t have much luck after handing over his lottery ball to Nick Aldis. In the end, LA Knight won and moved forward in the tournament.
The tournament finals are scheduled for next week’s SmackDown, while John Cena’s final match is set for the Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. It remains to be seen if this match will determine the fate of the Intercontinental Championship.
