In 2025, WWE star Natalya Neidhart released her debut book, “The Last Hart Beating,” sharing her life journey from childhood to the present. The book features many tales involving her late father, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Neidhart. In an interview with Wrestling Classic magazine, Natalya gave a sneak peek of the book and recounted one of her fondest memories of her dad.

Natalya recalled how her father once visited her kindergarten class in a memorable fashion. She described the scene: her dad arrived shirtless, sporting a fanny pack, a Rolex watch, Ray-Ban sunglasses, Air Jordans, and sweat on his chest, riding his Ninja motorcycle right into the classroom. The young kids instantly adored “The Anvil,” who resembled a ZZ Top band member with his beard. Wearing knee pads and spandex, Jim gave some unconventional advice to the 5- and 6-year-olds.

He told them, “School isn’t important,” and encouraged them instead to excel in sports. Natalya shared how her teacher tried to pull her dad off the stage, but he enthusiastically insisted on delivering his message. That visit was the last time Jim Neidhart came back to her class.

Natalya highlighted her father’s early athletic talents as key to his success. Before his wrestling fame, Jim excelled in shot put and even played in the NFL after college. After a nearly 20-year wrestling career, he largely retired in 1998. He passed away in 2018 at 63, leaving behind his wife and three daughters, including Natalya.

Fan Take: This personal glimpse into Jim Neidhart’s life adds depth to the legacy of a WWE legend, reminding fans of the human stories behind the spectacle. Natalya’s tribute reinforces how wrestling families shape the sport’s history and inspire future generations in WWE.
