TNA Wrestling is facing a complex situation regarding its talent contracts as it gears up for its big television debut on AMC this January. On December 6, Fightful Select revealed that several contracts are set to expire soon, including that of Killer Kelly, whose current deal ends this month. Negotiations for her contract extension are already in progress, according to Sean Ross Sapp.
Adding to the uncertainty, Kelly’s fiancé, Myron Reed, is working with TNA without a contract but is also in talks for a potential deal. Meanwhile, The Rascals faction is at the center of contract discussions: both Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel’s deals expire this December, and former member Desmond Xavier remains unsigned, putting the entire group on unstable ground.
The contract issues don’t stop there. Jake Something’s agreement is also ending at year’s end, which was unexpected. Other talents like AJ Francis, Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, and Mustafa Ali are nearing free agency or awaiting better offers following their AMC contracts.
With WWE actively negotiating with various talent and multiple contracts up in the air, TNA’s management is racing against time to avoid a major talent exodus before its big relaunch.
