Tonight’s WWE RAW, airing on December 8, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. WWE RAW Results (12/8/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens with a video package focused on Gunther defeating LA Knight to earn the right to be John Cena’s final opponent. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett then welcome us to the show and Gunther comes down to the ring.

Gunther then grabs the microphone and waits for the crowd to chant for John Cena before speaking. Gunther tells the fans not to root for Cena and get their hopes up because he won’t be here tonight. Gunter then says it’s his turn. And Gunther said he noticed it on his way to the ring. And Gunther says submitting “L.A. Night” earned him the biggest honor of his career. Guenther then said that in five days, he would be his final opponent and the last match of John Cena’s career. And Gunther said he has 17 world championships, always on the road, and is a man of energy, loyalty and respect. And Gunther says Cena is the greatest sports entertainer of all time. And Gunther says Cena will face the greatest professional wrestler of all time.

Gunther tells them to set up a clock, which is a countdown to Saturday. Gunther said this will give him an idea of ​​how long it will take him to worship John Cena as his hero. Gunter says he is a man who never gives up. Gunther then says beating Cena on Saturday wasn’t enough. Gunther says he will do something no one has ever done before. Gunther then says he intends to break Cena’s spirit. Gunther then bullied John Cena before saying he was going to put his arms around Cena’s neck and squeeze him until he had no more hustle, loyalty, or respect. Gunther then says he will make John Cena give up. GUNTHER then stopped on stage and stared at the countdown clock on the big screen. Then he looked at his watch and headed out the back.

Tessitore then narrated the backstage arrivals of Rey Mysterio, Lyla Valkyria, Bayley, WWE World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquel, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY.

We then get a video package recapping Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY’s battle against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, a no-contest due to interference from the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), and the post-match brawl involving the teams of Lyla Valkyrie and Bayley, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan.

WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi is then shown in the crowd. He holds up his title belt and bites for the camera. Barrett then promoted a match between Oba and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

IYO SKY then steps down to the ring for the first match of the night against Rhea Ripley, followed by the Kabuki Warriors.

Single match: “Genius of the Sky” IYO SKY vs. “Pirate Princess” Kairi Sane of Kabuki Warriors

The match starts with both women locked up and Sane missing a backfist. Sane then moves to the ropes to stop IYO from doing so. Sane then locks in a wristlock, IYO hits an Irish whip and she runs into a boot. Sane then hits a headscissors, but IYO uses a handspring to his feet. IYO then hits a chop, and Sane responds with a sunset flip for a near fall. Both women then exchange near a waterfall. IYO then hits La Magistral for a near fall. IYO then sends Sane to the apron and Sane goes up top and jumps over IYO. Sane then hits IYO with a headscissors. IYO then hits a back handspring, leg sweep, and clothesline. Sane then goes to the floor and Asuka gets on the apron to stop IYO.

IYO goes to the floor as Asuka moves out of the way, but Asuka is unable to mist as Rhea goes to Asuka. Sane then hits a forearm off the apron. After that, have them pose. Sane then tells Rhea to get out of the way to pick up IYO and Sane hits a chop to the apron and the announce desk. Sane then gets a near fall. IYO then hits some forearms, but Sane grabs IYO by the hair and pulls him down. Sane then hits some forearms. Furthermore, Sane tightens it with a single leg crab. Sane then ties Asuka’s legs to add more pressure while she dances on the floor. Asuka drops IYO onto the middle rope as the referee talks to Sane. Sane then goes for the Boston Crab and locks in, causing Sane to flip over. Sane then leans further back and IYO escapes for a near fall.

Sane then goes for a sliding DDT, but IYO hits a boot to the arm. Furthermore, IYO hits Shotei and a flapjack. Sane then hits an Irish whip and IYO goes to the apron and kicks Sane. IYO then hits a springboard dropkick. IYO then hits a running double knee blow in the corner, resulting in a near fall. IYO then goes for a moonsault into the turnbuckles, but Sane hits a double sled to the back, putting IYO in a dire situation. Sane then goes up top after some kicks. Sane then hits a double stomp for a near fall.

Then, Sane misses a back fist and IYO hits a roundhouse kick. Sane then lands on his feet to escape the Butterfly X-Factor, and Sane hits a sliding DDT. They then go to the apron and Sane backdrops IYO, but IYO lands on his feet. IYO then hits a German suplex on the apron and Sane falls to the floor. IYO then hits an Asai moonsault. IYO then brings Sane back into the ring, but Sane misses the punch. IYO then hits a roundhouse kick and Sane falls to the mat. IYO then goes up top and goes for a moonsault, but Sane rolls off and Asuka drops IYO into the turnbuckle and into the Tree of Woe. Asuka then misses a kick to Rhea and Rhea hits a thrust kick that sends IYO flying over the ringside barrier. IYO then hits a headscissors and hits a double stomp. IYO then hits a moonsault for the win.

The single match winner is “Genius of the Sky” IYO SKY!

We then see Paul Heyman in the locker room with Bron Breaker and Bronson Reed, and Logan Paul shows up. Logan asks if anyone saw Ray slap him. Then he says something needs to be done. Bron and Bronson then stand up and Bron says they will deal with it. And I said I’d do it tonight. Logan says he wants to talk to Heyman a little bit. And Logan says this Ray situation will be resolved tonight. Heyman then says Logan has backup. Logan then says he appreciates the backup. He also wanted them to know that if they were in trouble, he would be there for them. Heyman then says he didn’t think he could respect Logan any more, but he does. Heyman gives Logan brass knuckles just in case. Then say “just in case” a few times.

We then see Rey Mysterio walking in the background for the match and Adam Pearce arguing with The New Day.

Byron Saxton is then seen in the balcony interview area with Lyra Valkyrie and Bailey. He asks them about the tag title image. Bayley said the tag division is the strongest it’s ever been. Then she said it meant a lot to her. Then she said she wanted to start dipping her toes. And she said she doesn’t care who it is because they’re not a team that should be messed with. Lyla then remembered that Liv lost in the tag team title match and told her what would happen if she won the title again.

Eric and Ivar then cut a promo and said they were going to stand up again and again. Then they say they are stronger than ever. And they say they took off their armor. And they said they will face their future without fear. And we are told that the time to run and hide is over.

Rey Mysterio’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring for his next match of the night.

Single match: Finn Balor from Judgment Day vs. WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio from LWO

The match begins with Logan Paul attacking Rey Mysterio as he makes his way to the ring and slams Rey into the ring post. Logan then kicks Rey into the ring. Logan then punches Ray. Logan then pulls out brass knuckles and puts them on. Logan then rolls up, Ray kicks Logan’s hand, and Ray hits a punch. Logan then hits an elbow. Logan then rolls up again and Rey dropkicks Logan in the knee and Logan falls into the ropes. Rey then goes for the 619, but a mysterious hooded figure hits him with a superkick and a blackout. The man then walked away as security followed the masked man to the back.

Singles match ends in no contest!

After the match, the referee helps Ray up and Logan punches him. LA Nights music then played and he went down to the ring and Logan left the ring. He then tells Logan to stay there. And he says he would be mad if it was Seth wearing a hoodie. And he said the group got even worse when he joined. Then he said it was time to pay. And I said I didn’t want to pay on Saturday or Friday. And I asked him to pay me tonight in KC. LA Knight helps Ray to the rear.

Jevon Evans is then seen in the audience and it is announced that AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will face Jevon Evans and Leon Slater in Saturday Night’s main event.

The War Raiders then go down to the ring for their next match of the night, followed by Dragon Lee and AJ Styles.

WWE World Tag Team Championship Match: “Amazing” AJ Styles and LWO’s Dragon Lee (c) vs. War Raiders (Eric and Ivar)

The match starts with AJ hitting a forearm into the corner, followed by a leg sweep and hesitation kick from Lee. Lee then hits a dropkick for a nearfall. Lee then puts Eric in a reverse chinlock and AJ tags in and hits a double back elbow. Erik then hits a forearm and Ivar tags in. Eric goes over the top rope to the floor and frog jumps over Ivar as Lee charges him. AJ makes another tag and Lee catches him with a crossbody. Erik and Ivar then send AJ to the apron and Erik is sent into the ringside barrier. Ivar then hits a crossbody on the apron.

Ivar then hits a back elbow and headbutt. Then Ivar hits an elbow to the top of the head. AJ then hits some forearms but he escapes a slam. Ivar then performs a cartwheel and spin kick on Doom for a near fall. Erik then tags in, Ivar slams AJ, and Erik slams Ivar into AJ. Eric then nearly falls. Erik then locks him in a reverse chin lock. AJ then hits a forearm and Eric hits a back body drop for a near fall. Ivar then tags in, Ivar splashes and Erik hits a running back elbow for a near fall. Ivar then tightens AJ’s chinbar. Ivar then nearly collapses.

Eric tags in and knocks Lee off the apron and hits a knee. Eric then nearly falls. Ivar then tags back in and Ivar hits a knee. Ivar then tries to get AJ to his feet, but AJ stands up. Ivar then misses a spin kick on Doom and AJ hits a pele kick. Lee and Eric then team up, Lee hits Ivar with a kick, and Ivar hits a headscissors on Erik. Lee clotheslines Eric over the top rope. Lee then hits a leg sweep and slingshot kick on Ivar. Eric then puts Lee on the turnbuckles, but Lee stops Eric and puts him in the Tree of Woe. Lee then hits a double stomp and jumping knee on Ivar. Lee tries to lift Ivar onto his shoulders, but Lee falls under Ivar’s weight. Lee then hits a rolling Death Valley Driver-like move. Lee then hits a running back elbow resulting in a near fall.

Ivar then pushes Lee into the corner, but Lee misses an elbow. Ivar then hits a seated splash and Erik tags in. Lee hits a double rana and they go to the floor. Lee then goes for a rana over the top rope to the floor, but Eric blocks him. Lee then hits a superkick and Eric sends Lee into Ivar for a Viking experience on the floor. Ivar goes up top next and Erik tags in. Ivar hits a moonsault and AJ breaks the cover. AJ then pulls Lee into the corner and makes the tag, Eric makes the tag and gets back in the match. AJ then hits a forearm on Eric and Eric hits some kicks. AJ then hits strikes, but Eric hits a knee to the head for a near fall.

Ivar then tags in and goes to the turnbuckle. Eric then gives AJ to Ivar, AJ hits a Lana, and Ivar hits Eric. Lee then hits a flip dive on Eric. AJ then went to the apron and hit the Phenomenal Forearm for the win.

Winner and still WWE World Tag Team Champion, “The Amazing” AJ Styles and LWO’s Dragon Lee!

After the match, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Grayson Waller surround Lee and Styles. Jey Uso’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring with Jimmy. Jey then announces that the Usos are back in the tag team division, and Jimmy says that Jey asked him what he was doing on the phone after losing in the semifinals of The Last Time Is Now Tournament to begin a tag team reunion. Jey then warns The New Day and Lee and Styles before The Usos defeat Woods and Kingston. Waller then jumped out of the ring before The Usos could defeat him, and The Usos looked on at Lee and Styles as they held up the World Tag Team Championship belts.

We then see Stephanie Vaquere walking through the backstage area.

Commentary will then play on the card for Saturday night’s main event.

Jackie Redmond gets in the ring and takes out WWE Women’s World Champion Stefanie Vaquel. Stephanie then enters the ring and Jackie asks Stephanie who is next. Stephanie says she wants to face everyone. Then Stephanie says she’s not one to talk much. Then Stephanie says let your actions speak for themselves. Then Stephanie says she can prove why she’s the best luchador on the planet. Then Stephanie says it’s not because of the devil’s kiss. Then Stephanie says she’s the best and Nikki is a legend. And Stephanie says the women’s division today is different than it was 15 years ago. Then Stephanie said there was Rhea Ripley, Bailey, Natty, and IYO SKY and they were all great.

Nikki Bella then interrupted and she headed to the stage. Nikki says Kansas City doesn’t deserve someone like her. She then tells Stephanie that they are not done yet. And she says she demands a rematch. Raquel Rodriguez then drags Nikki off the apron and she low darts Nikki into the ring post. Raquel then enters the ring. She then tells Stephanie to name the time and place and she will win the title.

LA Knight is then seen walking through the backstage area.

Byron Saxton returns to the interview area on the balcony, where he is joined by Ivy Nile, Brutus Creed, and Julius Creed. Byron mentions the women’s IC title match between Ivy and Maxine Dupri. Byron then asks Ivy how she plans to prepare to confront her former best friend. Ivy says they were friends, but so what? Ivy then says you were the champion and I can’t believe she’s not the champion while Maxine is. Ivy then says she can get a push on social media and says she’s training with Natty now. Ivy then says that’s what you want. And Ivy says this is how she has trained throughout her career. Ivy then says just because you’re the champion doesn’t mean you’re better than her. Then Ivy says you never hit her. Then Ivey says they’ll drop the ball like the Chiefs did last night. Ivy then said that no matter how much she trained, she would never be able to defend her title.

Then we watched “Judgment Day” in the clubhouse and Finn said it was an easy night for him. Finn then says Dominick’s father kicked and stomped him. Liv then wants to know what Raquel did. Raquel then says that she wanted to stop Nikki because she sacrificed herself in the title match last time. Liv then says that she wishes he had said that. Roxanne then says she didn’t know she needed Liv’s approval. Raquel then said she was going to talk to Pierce. Liv then tells Roxanne that she will be in her corner as they will be the next tag team champions. Then Finn said it was good for them.

And Sol Luka, who wrestles Bayley on Saturday, will be seen in the front row for the next match that night.
