He noted that the space backstage is very limited, the windows are open (making it freezing cold), and that there’s simply not enough room to handle a full-scale WWE production comfortably.

On the other hand, AEW is set to return to the Manhattan Center, which houses Hammerstein, for two special shows next year: “Dynamite: On 34th Street” on December 20, 2025, and “Christmas Collision” the following evening. AEW will run the venue for the second consecutive year, something WWE has never attempted. The issue isn’t about tradition but about practical logistics.
