The inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions were crowned during the December 10th episode of Dynamite. The Winter Is Coming special kicked off with the Babes of Wrath, consisting of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, facing off against the Timeless Love Bombs, Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa, in the tournament finals to determine the first holders of the titles.
The Babes of Wrath reached the finals after defeating Mercedes Morne & Athena and the Sisters of Sin, while the Timeless Love Bombs earned their spot by overcoming Alex Windsor & Riho and Megan Bain & Marina Shafir. In a gripping final match, the Babes of Wrath emerged victorious, with Nightingale securing the win over Shirakawa via a powerbomb pinfall.
Following the win, Cameron and Nightingale shared an emotional interview reflecting on their journey and connection as a team. Storm and Shirakawa showed respect to the new champions in the ring post-match.
